They did damage to it, which is the reason Charity Water has taken legal action against them. BNE is literally costing the charity money at this point. And Charity Water is on our side of the argument, not yours. So stop invoking them as way to justify BNEs t-shirt scam. Some of us actually volunteer time to charity and/or are sustaining members of charitable organizations who don't need a Banksy t-shirt as an impetus to do good. Again you don't know the history. BNE has been raising funds for this charity for a while now. This wasn't the first event. Before that BNE did direct water projects fund raising. He has done a lot more than I ever have and likely a lot more than most on this board have done to improve the lives of the world's poor. The "legal action" the charity is taking is largely a reaction to all the inquiries they have got from people b**ching about their precious banksy t-shirts. BNE screwed up. They have to to protect themselves. They are not claiming BNE withheld funds or wronged the charity directly they are just being cautious until they know the facts, as they should. We don't know all the facts but it seems that he has screwed up. The people here b**ching and going over board are just making things worse. If it comes out that BNE was stealing money then go after him after you have those facts. I'm sure paypal is on top of it and will escalate if need be. I don't think that is the case but who knows? For now we know there is a man who has devoted his life to helping others who screwed up in some way. Just what the screw up was and how stupid it was isn't fully known. I would argue that at this stage a witch hunt isn't required. Get your refund now and move on with your life. Or better yet prove you could do a better job and raise funds for the charity yourself. Let's say he raised $50k a year. go out and do that for 10 years then come back and b**ch.

My understanding is the difference is Libel is written and Slander is spoken. But I'm not a Lawyer, just trying to point out the hypocrisy of being loose with one's conduct while attacking someone else's conduct. |

He said shep gave him banksy's number (highly unlikely) then later talked of banksy's Facebook, which doesn't exist. Maybe BNE who genuinely wants to do the right thing just got fed shit from someone purporting to be banksy.
If this was the case, fair enough. However for transparency and continuing the path back, BNE REALLY NEEDS TO INSTAGRAM, OR WHATEVER IT IS HE USES,THE PAYPAL PAYMENTS FROM THAT NIGHT. It's the smoking gun, if it says 538 orders, I believe he was scammed, if it shows hundreds or thousands more, then the rabbit hole gets deeper.

If half the people are telling the truth and donated the money direct, well most of the funds made there way there, but that grey cloud of doubt lingers. I can clearly see both sides and honesty would clear things up, can anyone request the paypal screen grab?
