Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by easycraig on Mar 28, 2014 16:49:27 GMT 1, there is absolutely no contest on which has the better contrast. the winner is not LED. and personally i prefer my pictures, especially movies, not to be razor sharp, where is the filmic nature of the theatre in that? panny plasma all the way you are correct! plasma's are still the industry standard and always used for editing.
as for sound... speakers for the most part are a moot point within flat screens... most folks are going to add a sound bar or external system .
i have 4 energy towers along with a center channel outside..... inside i ran the small but efficient orb audio 7.1 system.
love them both.

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by bullysonzx10r on Mar 28, 2014 16:53:22 GMT 1, Banksys just got to hand spray each one then he's personally delivering them to anyone who didnt cancel their original order apparently, and he's said he'll probs have a can and a stencil or two with him if anyone wants a quick canvas done, so cash in time. Seems generous.

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by maddoghoek100 on Mar 28, 2014 16:53:28 GMT 1, playstation? tv is a LG, 42 inch LCD
BNE is mad at a Blogger with a grudge publicizing something that was true. He is about to but heads with a bank, a heartless, soulless, risk management driven machine. The dont hold a grudge, and they arn't angry, you are just dead to them once you are TMFed. They can not be reasoned with, and they dont much care to be. I have this sneaking suspicion there will be some rant from BNE about how his charity was done in by the banks, banks are ruining the world and banks are making people go without clean water and all manner of crazy.
For anyone that has ever had to deal with an identity theft and the credit rating agencies it is enough to drive most people over the edge, and this is WAY worse. I realy would not wish it on anyone but the worst kind of fraudster. BNE seems over zelouse, and not so much malicious.
Let me guess... You own a Sony... am i right?

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by petro on Mar 28, 2014 16:57:25 GMT 1, theres no difference in the shirts. It's just based on what you would like to donate. Like if you want to donate but don't have much $ you go for t1. If your feeling genius then t2 etc as he said. The image on all versions is the same Honestly, is it really donating at this point? It's a legitimate purchase to a for profit business now. I was ok when it was 100% going to charity (really only $60 of the $80) but the fact that he now changed it again to where he isnt donating any more money (since he already made the 35k donation) I am done. Refund requested. Good luck all and hope whoever sticks it out gets something they like! Good points. Also, keep in mind that Charity Water's legal team is still investigating the fraud claims to determine whether they can accept the donation.

What seem to be your problem? Broken television?

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by behaviorist on Mar 28, 2014 17:08:43 GMT 1, BNE's latest post was way off the mark in my opinion. From the three tee shirt versions to the open editions and the keeping of the money to fund future enterprises, BNE missed on many counts. I was hoping that all proceeds, beyond expenses, would be donated as a gesture of good faith. Whether or not his apology is sincere - and I believe it is - the post remains problematic in terms of what it doesn't address.
I've asked for a refund and will donate directly. Wishing BNE the best in his future endeavors, but this won't go away easily.

I made a mistake. Its my fault. Im sorry.
What he said. We kind of had it worked out Then someone else fucked it up by saying that we didnt have it worked out Then when the shit hit the fan I didnt know what to do So then I scrambled and that was a mess My merchant account is shut down But I'm still going strong because everyone agrees with me and nobody feels like I was a asshat So now heres an even shittier deal. That I cant transact because I fucked up my paypal account So give me a second to figure out how I work out this scam and I'll get back to you If you dont do it, you want children to die.

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by easycraig on Mar 28, 2014 17:22:52 GMT 1, you are correct! plasma's are still the industry standard and always used for editing. We never use Plasma for editing. I use the O'LED reference monitors for my broadcast editing... to be honest, i myself do not know much about them, but my cousin who has edited for 20+years in hollyweird says plasma's are still the standard (maybe that's the problem... he could be stuck in a time warp) - not that it matters.... my eyes are finally starting to go.... i can only rate them by what i see.... ( i have calibrated the hell out of my lcd, but i just can't get it to look as good as the plasma ) they both look great with a dvd in them.... but hd over the channels (say a sporting event) does not look as good on the lcd as the plasma.... at least in my eyes. Then again, my buddy who is in the entertainment business once said to me... " you know Craig, there are some people who can't see the difference between hd and regular broadcasts... " and I said... " yeah... I know, they are called women" - he laughed out loud and said he should use that in one of his shows...... -probably all apples and oranges at this point.... as far as i am concerned.... HD and the dvr are the 2 best things ever to happen to television. Unless you are an audio visual kook ( and i know there are plenty of them out there.... ) most of use can get by with a decent home system.... - i very rarely go to the movies and most of the time when i do... i regret it.. lol.... happy friday from old and grumpy ec ! lol

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by gatecrasher on Mar 28, 2014 18:00:49 GMT 1, I still really want to keep my order in but then he says "I was going to bring in another artist, and then thought to use some of the ideas that you emailed us. However, there’s been a really cool change of plans that I think will make all of you happy."
Telling me the artist would make me happy.
More importantly though, I've always found that LEDs look choppy when showing large areas of grass ie football games in HD. Plasma is a winner for fast moving action/sport.

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by thisisanton on Mar 28, 2014 19:00:21 GMT 1, I heard 4K TVs will be coming out this year, 2160p! The downside is that most channels only broadcast at 720 which is considered HD, and a few at 1080i/p which is full HD. Hopefully the sports channels will support 2160p Ultra HD!

True, but don't get your hopes up on the 2160p.... It will take a while for the companies to broadcast in that format. It is way to expensive right now and not only broadcasting needs to be upgrades, also camera's, glasfiber network and powerful signal enhancers....
I do like the new 4k consumer RED camera though.... But let's stick to topic... Televisions!

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by Deleted on Mar 28, 2014 19:36:01 GMT 1, I heard 4K TVs will be coming out this year, 2160p! The downside is that most channels only broadcast at 720 which is considered HD, and a few at 1080i/p which is full HD. Hopefully the sports channels will support 2160p Ultra HD! 1080i is much closer to 720p so still not full HD (in my opinion at least) We are talking full HD (1920x1080) right? Or are we still talking about the 720 Televisions (1280x720)?

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by Coach on Mar 28, 2014 19:43:32 GMT 1, does anyone else feel like a voyeur watching this unfold? i no longer care about the tee, the art, the funds; following this story is now, really, just indulging a primal - and unsophisticated - curiosity in watching others' mistakes. I feel like this thread at this point is a bunch of kids kicking a dead dog and not knowing when to stop.
I agree. Well put.
