I find this to be an odd response. I've working in newsrooms my entire adult life. This weird. They had no issues reporting the press release in the days prior. If AnimalNY posted PC's response Friday afternoon BNE would have been forced to make a statement which would have prevented this cluster-f**k. Instead by sitting on PC's email they forced Banksy to make a statement and 500+ people to question (and question in the future) a charitable contribution. Not to mention the billable hours to whatever law firm charity:water has on retainer.

But i do have a (couple) question(s) : Why did you not post the PEST response on the article when you first wrote about BNE and the Banksy collar? Prior of the T-shirt release. You could have warned everybody not to buy the tshirts because Banksy had noting to do with it. A great article in my mind. But releasing that the day after is a bit cheap.
