If so, are you sure this isn't one of them? It might even be the best of them. There could be other heavens like this heaven, only shittier.

MY BOYFRIEND <3 BANKSY, by iamzero on Apr 5, 2014 9:26:49 GMT 1, I find it refreshing that the women posted here have taken the time from their busy days of cleaning, baking and knitting to pose semi naked for us. I salute you... Now get your knickers back on and make the tea. ;-p

MY BOYFRIEND <3 BANKSY, by Coach on Apr 5, 2014 10:23:31 GMT 1, You know it's time to get your coat when Bad Robot swaggers in after nursing a Bud Light Lime at the Double Deuce and throws objectification around. Offers of generosity far outweigh the displays of one upmanship on this board. Try looking at the world through Polarised glasses
Oh, I don't agree. I enjoy reading his/her intelligent well crafted arguments. Always look forward to bsdrobots posts. This place is richer for having badrobot part of it, imo.
Talking of which, I can only look at this forum on my phone most of the time, so can't check. Did anyone find out if Sean has left?

MY BOYFRIEND <3 BANKSY, by andyroo0312 on Apr 5, 2014 16:03:24 GMT 1, Ultimately If the ladies didn't want to be in the pics they wouldn't be. Ah yes good old sexist relativism. How on Earth would you know? And why on Earth would the 'takers' say anything different? It's also worth understanding what objectification is. And while we're thinking, let's consider the message this sends to those possibly not in a relationship where they're not treated 'equally', where perhaps the man holds the power... and has certain demands. Let's consider those not in a relationship of either sex, what message does it tell them? Hmmmm what message does it say to a teenager, about what you can expect from a woman? But your right, if my own limited experience it's all fine then it must be for everyone. You make a fair point but everyone in someway or to some degree are objectified, sometimes us humans read more into things than is necessary and miss what is right in front of us, a attractive woman holding a Paul Insect print is just that and should be enjoyed for what it is if you don't like that sort of thing you don't have to look, i often get asked if i am gay which i sort of take as a compliment, because i look after my body dress well and am a single 40yr old i must be gay right or so a lot of woman think bottom line, as long as we have respect for each other then all can be good and healthy..

I think if Emily heard you say that she would of slit you like a pig where you stood and burnt your house down she was quite the violent militant that did not really do a great deal to move forward the suffragette cause infact a lot of leading suffragettes at the time thought her a nutter, i wonder if she had a thought for the horse or jockey on that day at Epsom? Emily Davisons equal in the US was Carrie Nation, remember violence does not solve anything...

MY BOYFRIEND <3 BANKSY, by randomname on Apr 5, 2014 17:04:09 GMT 1, It's pretty condescending for a man (or woman) to tell a woman that she's either morally corrupt or being exploited if she's comfortable with her body and enjoys flaunting it. Not everyone's sense of morality is the same. If they're not hurting anyone, it's no one's place to tell them what they should or shouldn't do. Or to judge them for doing it.

MY BOYFRIEND <3 BANKSY, by johnnyh on Apr 5, 2014 17:09:09 GMT 1, Oh, I don't agree. I enjoy reading his/her intelligent well crafted arguments. Always look forward to bsdrobots posts. This place is richer for having badrobot part of it, imo. Talking of which, I can only look at this forum on my phone most of the time, so can't check. Did anyone find out if Sean has left? Yep, Sean has left. He is hugely disillusioned with recent posts and attitudes by too many idiots. Too much sexist and misogynist crap in daily life, which he doesn't need it on somewhere to go and enjoy art.
That's a real shame. Me and him got on each other's nerves at times but this place will be a lot worse without him and Some one who has the respect of many membersespecially myself. Although we did not always agree. Do hope he returns but I do echo his views.
I hope he can realise it's just one daft thread

That's fucking shit, when individuals like Sean leave you know things have changed, personally myself I'm not far off, I have to hold back when I see the bollocks shit like outis and then the shit on this thread, are we adults or kids.......... Too many people need to grow up, and stop reacting to other peoples attention seeking, have your own voice and stop posting for the sake of it, please start talking sense.........
And if you react negatively to this rant of mine then you obviously disagree with me, so what picture are you painting of yourself and what category do you fall into.........
Your probably the type of individual that is ruining this place, well done

No one was hurt and they weren't trying to hurt anyone. So I don't get why a handful of people got their feelings hurt over what they did. And I don't see how it's their place to tell them they're somehow in the wrong.
Personally, I think it's ironic when someone with the best of intentions tries to defend women by telling them what they should or shouldn't do. Real feminism is knowing women have the right do whatever they like with their bodies and with their lives in general so long as they're not hurting anyone.

MY BOYFRIEND <3 BANKSY, by Deleted on Apr 5, 2014 18:20:47 GMT 1, Ah yes good old sexist relativism. How on Earth would you know? And why on Earth would the 'takers' say anything different? It's also worth understanding what objectification is. And while we're thinking, let's consider the message this sends to those possibly not in a relationship where they're notย treated 'equally', where perhaps the man holds the power... and has certain demands. Let's consider those not in a relationship of either sex, what message does it tell them? Hmmmm what message does it say to a teenager, about what you can expect from a woman?ย But your right, if my own limited experience it's all fine then it must be for everyone. agree with you at some point. A lot of kids watch this forum an it can be also symptom of my patriarchal education. It's unacceptable and I'm very dissapointed with my bahaviour. So sorryย P.S I also consider to delete my avatar but give me couple of days to find better one, please. trophy prints and trophy wives. What has this forum become.

Real feminism is knowing women have the right do whatever they like with their bodies and with their lives in general so long as they're not hurting anyone. That may as be but I and others have not been judgmental of the original posters as per the post you responded to it mentions the responders. Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the posts you have mentioned just go back to the start of this thread. Now you and others can say what you like and reason however you like....but as mentioned this is an art forum and the majority are not on here for that type of comment or content. Read the posts they are pretty juvenile and misplaced at best
now personally I have not greatly been offended etc but they are a bit sad. You only have to look at the "how old are you" thread...look at the average age of members on here then that put's this thread in perspective. Not many people under 20....Eg would the people making those comments make them at work??? If not then they know better. Eg most people on here are out of their teens. It's not a discussion on various peoples individual rights to post pics and comments it's about everybody else rights. Note a couple of people and credit to them have also had the sense to apologise for their posts.
That's maybe a stance by hem that others should listen to and take note of. Rather than defending a daft position and thread

Note a couple of people and credit to them have also had the sense to apologise for their posts. That's maybe a stance by hem that others should listen to and take note of. Rather than defending a daft position and thread

MY BOYFRIEND <3 BANKSY, by randomname on Apr 5, 2014 19:12:34 GMT 1, Some of the posts seem judgmental of marius and brevo. From the look of things, they and their girlfriends were just having a bit fun. Read the posts they are pretty juvenile and misplaced at best now personally I have not greatly been offended etc but they are a bit sad. Rather than defending a daft position and thread It's an art forum and they were showing art. Several members saw the humor in their posts and took it for what it was. A bit of fun. If not everyone likes that, there are thousands of other threads where they could be spending their time. I don't have an opinion one way or the other on 90% of what's posted on here. That doesn't mean people shouldn't post it. It just means I should probably ignore it.
As for the responses, some of them were juvenile. So what? They weren't being disrespectful to anyone. If a handful of people what to be juvenile among friends, how is that hurting anyone else?
This forum is more akin to friends in a pub than it is to being at work. If your friends are being juvenile and annoying, you can make new friends. If your coworkers are doing it, you're basically stuck with them. If you don't like what someone posts, you can ignore their threads. Or block them entirely and they'll never appear on your screen.
In my opinion, a handful of people got worked up over nothing. There was no sexism involved. No one was coerced into doing anything they didn't want to do. A few people were having some sophomoric fun. And a few grown ups got upset over something that had nothing to do with them.
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe we should all be having tea and crumpets while observing street art through monocles, having serious conversations on the metaphysical properties of Banksy's pissing dog. That sounds like fun.

MY BOYFRIEND <3 BANKSY, by Cornish Crayon on Apr 5, 2014 19:23:07 GMT 1, The original poster is the only person to blame for the tripe on this thread, attention seeking, problem is......... People react and if you react you will be seen as no better and label yourself in the same bracket........
Trolling is rife on here at the moment and I think rather than keep feeding them ignore and they will go away
Waste of space, if you wish to come on here and the only way to get a response is to undress and degrade yourself, could you please do it in your own time and on you own forum space or Facebook or single bored desperate woman dot com
If the mods had any balls they would get rid of s**t threads like this, I'll probably get a ban for speaking my mind, or would it help if I got my junk out and posted it !!!!!!!!
This thread has definitely taking some unorthodox turns but there is nothing that is violating Proboard Forum Rules at this time. You will not be banned for speaking your mind or calling out the mods as long it is not in an abusive manner.
