It was my girlfriends idea in the first place to vandalise the prints and take the pictures and post on here (we were drunk on a tuesday night woops). It was April fools joke posted on April 1st. She had no idea that you would all decide that she was objectifying herself, it was meant as a bit of fun and a few of the shots related directly to the sentiment of the artwork... i.e.... the vanity of Kate vs a jealous girlfriend. And the sub text was the way so many here venerate an image on paper from the church of banksy and how it can make you look twice if its been vandalised or got the slightest mark / modification. I do actually think that this commentary is highly relevant on this forum and is not banal in the slightest. I may be wrong though!

The OP may have been looking for attention, but why does that matter? Two of the longest running threads are filled with people looking for attention. Show us your latest art buy and show us your pad. I suppose you could make a huge jump in logic and equate posting pictures of your girlfriend to posting pictures of your art and conclude that they're treating their girlfriends as possessions. But that would be more than a stretch.
Anyway, I'm not attacking you or bashing your opinion. I think your heart is in the right place. I honestly just don't understand why you're upset.

I don't feel the need to post my pad and as for recent art purchases....... Erm it's been a while, why, does it matter ? Because my walls are content at present, I don't feel the need to purchase for the sake of it or because everybody else is, I'm also not going to buy to sell,

I'm sure my wife of 11years and partner for 16 have a little bit more respect for ourselves than to show pieces of cheap replica art modified to try and create an impact and if that didn't work take her clothes off,
I'm not upset, far from it, just a little bit miffed why anybody would feel the need to do this on a art forum which is based on initially .........street art
The op has now come on and said it was April fools and there was alcohol involved, but the pictures are still there, look at all the reactions dude, nobody was interested in anything other than breasts and scoring them with comments
As for the growing up comments, I think anybody in there right mind knows not to lower the tone of the forum with childish slander

You misunderstood my point. I don't think there's anything wrong with people acting a little juvenile or enjoying attention. I also don't think it's fair to criticize and judge someone so harshly when they're not hurting anyone. It seems like you're questioning the character of the OP and his girlfriend without knowing the first thing about them.
I see where you're coming from being older and more mature. But I also see the irony of this being a street art forum, filled with juvenile art made by immature artists. I think it's fair to have serious discussions about serious art. And juvenile discussions about the less serious art.

I hadn't a clue what it was about originally and figured either someone felle out with their girlfriend and she bunny boilered his Banksy collection, or it was a woman who wanted to get Banksy's attention and then later realised it was just for fun.
I did like the graffiti over Banksy images, it made some of them less boring and pretentious.
With all the t and a on tv and advertising today I thought the young lady was funny and a good sort.
It's amazing how the recent post about heavily airbrushed Kate Moss posing for Playboy got lots of reverant comments yet this one seems to have offended some people.
I never posted on the thread I just enjoyed reading and looking at the D Faced Banksy prints.

Aside from the fact that the Montys yes weren't 40 years ago but maybe 30, and the dressed in drag Eddie Izzard much more recent I'm sticking with my observations.
