Sincura / Banksys sale starts today., by Deleted on Apr 24, 2014 10:08:39 GMT 1, Starts today i think?. ------------------------------------
stealingbanksy.com/Stealing_Banksy_Next_Event.html
In light of the recent media attention, the Sincura Group would like to issue the following statement with regards the Banksy Slave Labour piece. The Sincura Group do not condone any acts of wanton vandalism or other illegal activity, however after carrying out extensive due diligence with regard the works provenance and ownership we are entirely satisfied that the mural was legally salvaged and that its current owners and its representative are acting in good faith by consigning the piece to us to act as the centrepiece of our forthcoming art show 'Banksy at the Flower Cellars'. We welcome the opportunity to display this controversial work, that since its removal has undergone extensive restoration and are proud that our event will be the first and only time that it will be shown in the United Kingdom before being returned to the United States where it will form an integral part of an important private collection of Banksy street works. It is only through The Sincura Group’s unique network that this coup was made possible, everyone was trying to find the true story of the pieces whereabouts and we were the only company to do so. The showing of this piece was the culmination of months of hard work and we simply wish to display it in again its home city before it disappears forever. It should be noted that both Scotland Yard and the FBI have issued statements that there is no evidence of criminality involved in the removal of this illegally painted mural and therefore no case to answer. The Sincura Group are making no financial gain from displaying this piece of art. Tony Baxter The Sincura Group -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMO Scum.
The sound of the brick cutters on the video makes a horrible noise.

Sincura / Banksys sale starts today., by Deleted on Apr 24, 2014 10:22:11 GMT 1, How can you carry out " extensive renovation" on a bit of spray scrawl ?
anyone who has anything to do with these greedy happy shopper capitalist pigdogs is really missing the point
Once a piece is removed, it has lost all worth to anyone with any kind of appreciation.
A street banksy sitting in an Oligarchs Mayfair mansion must be the biggest lol around - but no one will actuall tell them

Sincura / Banksys sale starts today., by Baby Dave on Apr 24, 2014 11:57:31 GMT 1, I've just been reading their FAQS on their website. Aside from the spelling mistakes, it struck me as strange them saying that Scotland Yard and the FBI have issues statements saying there is no evidence of criminality in the sale or removal of the pieces they are selling. What a load of tosh!
I hope this whole event goes tits up

I could have sworn Sperm Alarm went through the media as being illegally removed etc etc... Sorry, just in reference to my last post.
I may be wrong.... I wonder what legal provenance is attached to these pieces.

But I can't imagine many from here paying £200. That's a flight to New York or was last time I went. Plenty of free to view. It's like 'Sky pay to view'.
I couldn't be a bigger cricket fan than I am. But I won't pay to watch tests on 'Sky' .

It's all so sad. Groups of 100 people min at £200 per person to go see street art!! That's been ripped from the streets. What has this all become? I've not read the thread properly, so may be taking this out of context. But I can't imagine many from here paying £200. That's a flight to New York or was last time I went. Plenty of free to view. It's like 'Sky pay to view'. I couldn't be a bigger cricket fan than I am. But I won't pay to watch tests on 'Sky' . Stream or listen to "Test match special' Well indeed mate! It's a corporate package. That's what's so wrong imho.

Sincura / Banksys sale starts today., by Deleted on Apr 24, 2014 13:19:07 GMT 1, Starts today i think?. ------------------------------------ stealingbanksy.com/Stealing_Banksy_Next_Event.htmlIn light of the recent media attention, the Sincura Group would like to issue the following statement with regards the Banksy Slave Labour piece. Tony Baxter The Sincura Group ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMO Scum. The sound of the brick cutters on the video makes a horrible noise. Watched the video,
The music spoiled the amatuerish narrative.
I also do not believe personally that it cost a 100K to remove this thing from the wall and restore it. There again at todays London rates anything is possible
OK maybe a local builder would have to pay his blokes for a days work and to re brick up and cement the wall.
Then to touch up the mural and clean it a bit from street grime ain't rocket science either.
I don't buy excuses like the Banksy causes problems for the building owners etc considering most people walk past and ignore thse things anyway.
If 100% of all sales goes to charity thats a good thing but there again someone has to pay the builders.
