DOLK 'VANDAL' AND 'IDEA PAINTER' NEXT WEEK!, by Deleted on May 6, 2014 20:33:13 GMT 1, I am getting to the point where I have given up trying to get a print from an artist like Dolk, STIK or Banksy through the internet from source. The US is supposed to have fast internet blah, blah, blah but realistically I have never ever been able to secure a hot release via the web. Does anyone else on here share this defeatist attitude or am I on an Island here.

I've said it once (to some snickering) and I'll say it again - BOTS. People make and use them for everything from concert tickets to sneaker drops... no reason to believe people aren't using them for print drops now |

The server in norway will hit norway first, then uk server will refresh then further away etc. it could be a matter of a minute or two before you see what people on the other side of the pond are seeing. You could have mega broadband but unless your countries servers are updating their cache then you are screwed.
this is why us releases are not good for uk folks. Works both ways.

However - no chance today. Seemed a lot more difficult than I have experienced in the past.

Had like 3-4 times when the "add to cart" button appeared, I went on to fill out my address, but when I clicked proceed it said the print was no longer available..

I've got screenshots from 8.09am (uk time) where it would finally let me buy, but kept crashing, crashing and crashing. Never had problems buying from HMP before, but looks as if they changed the way they add prints on their website, by taking the site down 15 minutes before a print release. Not happy at all.

Have the highest tier Time Warner internet as well and same result for me. Its all about the bots. Learned that the hard way trying to get Air Jordans on the release. |

I've got rubbish internet here (UK) - so bad that for a drop like this all other internet devices in the house have to be switched off - but managed to buy Idea quite early (confirmed in email at 818) it was slow and nerve wracking but went through. I then bagged a vandal too and was halfway to checking out before changing my mind - got to the bank stage with nothing to suggest it wouldn't have worked.
I'm amazed that some of you say you carted 10+ times and even more amazed you then couldn't complete.
