Conor Harrington | 'Eat and Delete' in New York, by Coach on May 9, 2014 10:30:34 GMT 1, I think it's a brave decision for Conor to put on his solo show in the States and not to use an established NY gallery over there which will have the local client and media contacts. But if anyone can do it I would say it's him; there aren't many artists out there with his technical skills, original style and aesthetic and whose work genuinely has something relevant to say. It's a bit of a gamble but I would be very surprised if it didn't pay off.
I agree with you, I do believe that his work will be very well received. And deservedly so, for the reasons you have eloquently articulated feral.

Haha! I was only kidding.
It can be tricky though. I've thought about this before. One is much more likely to rave about the work one likes, and that is the art one is more likely to own. So accusations of hype, it has often occurred to me, could too readily be levelled at someone merely expressing their passion. As such, I do think it's an accusation that should not be banded about too flippantly. I'm just thinking out loud now, really.
Meanwhile, I hope my reputation remains intact!!

That was a very long time ago though.
I tried to buy it, but I was too late. I bought a Jonathan Yeo instead.
