BANKSY The Unauthorised Retrospective , by eschiff on Jun 9, 2014 9:45:48 GMT 1, just saw the .pdf for the show and it looks to be a stunner. Certainly can't afford anything but haven't seen a few of the early pieces before (some drawings from '06) as well as some interesting dedications on earlier canvasses (signed from 'a guy in a hospital bed'...kinda odd).

BANKSY The Unauthorised Retrospective , by Deleted on Jun 9, 2014 10:20:43 GMT 1, Where would that Surf War end up? How many excentric billioners with humor and good taste is there in the world. And with a wife/boyfriend/lover/partner/dog/hustler/butler/whatevah with same taste? There are 4 billionaires on this forum that I know of, one lives in a solid gold castle and has a Butler made from Tanzanite, though one of them is only into Mr Brainwasp so he's out of the running. There are plenty of possible buyers for that lovely Turf War i reckon.

BANKSY The Unauthorised Retrospective , by Dungle on Jun 9, 2014 10:34:02 GMT 1, London has more Billionaires than any other city by some distance.
There will be no problems finding buyers.
LONDON (AP) — A new study of the super-rich finds that London has become the capital of the world's wealthiest, with more billionaires than any other city.
The Sunday Times, which published the list, says London has 72 residents whose fortunes exceed 1 billion pounds ($1.6 billion). That's well ahead of Moscow, at 48, New York, at 43, San Francisco at 42, Los Angeles at 38 or Hong Kong at 34.
The newspaper reports that Britain also has more billionaires per head than any other country, with one in billionaire for every 607,000 Britons versus one for every 1 million or so Americans.

And perhaps we'd all live in a far better world if they chose to pay the correct amount of tax! During the past 6 months I've noticed a huge rise in the number of friends on more meager salaries in key worker positions as well as creative roles having to leave London, the place they were born and raised in owing to the onslaught of the super rich taking over the city! Not your fault HoofHearted just thought I'd mention the flip side to all them super rich buying up all the property, assets and original Banksy paintings!

Are the works that Steve / Lazarides Gallery has there his own from buying back in the day?, or are they still unsold stock Banksys?.

Though think I may have bagged one that I thought was well priced and in my range. Would love to know where the work comes from, a lot of those canvasses were sitting in Laz's office (i have some pics of them on the floor somewhere!) but things like the giclee Palestine wall pics (signed ed of 15) i have never seen before. They start at 25k + VAT + ARR
Will get this over to people as soon as i can, been inundated with requests.

If they are Steves own then I dont understand the title of the event being 'Unauthorised'?, it is authorised both by him and Sothebys, Banksy has nothing to do with it (apart from name and works), I could understand the title if they were still Banksys unsold works. Maybe 'Laz and Sothebys Versus Banksy' but that doesnt sound very street.
You bagged one?, lucky bugger.

Cheers mate. Love the pdf, and good one on bagging one.. Wish i had that kind of cash to spend on art. And seems like steve was the #3 in line on getting banksy's prints. A lot of number 3 prints up for sale. So i guess the numbering was: #1 is for Banksy's mom #2 is Wiz (of cours) #3 is Steve
