Banksy prints that you never see getting resold?, by Deleted on Jul 27, 2014 22:05:11 GMT 1, I noticed recently that someone was looking for a signed IFTL, which I have never even seen sold on here.
What are some of the other ones that are rarely, if ever, put up for sale? I feel like it's surprising which ones are traded often vs. not.

Banksy prints that you never see getting resold?, by Poster Bob on Jul 27, 2014 22:39:41 GMT 1, I saw a signed IFTL recently for I think ยฃ13k or so. Prescription had a rude copper a month or two ago for ยฃ6500 I think and I was recently offered one for ยฃ7500 so they do surface from time to time.

Banksy prints that you never see getting resold?, by Deleted on Jul 27, 2014 23:08:50 GMT 1, Never seen a CWSB on here; that said, I meant more of the "non-hits" if that isn't blasphemous. I remember seeing a signed IFTL a few years back on eBay, but pretty scant since then.
Also don't think I've seen any signed HMVs or many signed Rats. Can't remember last time I saw a J&J either.

Banksy prints that you never see getting resold?, by Poster Bob on Jul 27, 2014 23:11:14 GMT 1, Hang Up sold a kate moss a couple weeks ago, there is one available on global art traders and I know of two grey/blue ones for sale at I think 40 and 45k. They are around but you really have to hunt for them.

Banksy prints that you never see getting resold?, by Deleted on Jul 27, 2014 23:12:51 GMT 1, Also curious why it happens with these prints vs. others; do you think people just view them less as an investment and thus are more likely to purchase strictly for the art itself?
Obviously IFTL and Rude Copper are great; that said, you see some real classics being bought/sold on here often so makes me curious sometimes where the other ones have drifted to (I know some people consider RC #1, I think that's debatable).

Banksy prints that you never see getting resold?, by Dungle on Jul 28, 2014 8:49:53 GMT 1, The thing is that prices are strong at the moment, and show no signs of dropping, buyers are hanging on unless they need to sell. As a result less are coming to the market.
However what I would say is that if you want a particular print they are out there, you just have to put a bit of effort into finding them, and be prepared to pay the going rate, which will be more than they've been worth / traded for before.

Banksy prints that you never see getting resold?, by Deleted on Jul 28, 2014 15:13:09 GMT 1, Love ya, wiz.
Was just curious why some people are inclined to sell certain prints vs. others, as I personally would expect more signed IFTLs being traded than a (stronger IMO) print like signed S&S, Worthless, or a lot of the other gems we see on here sometimes. I'm sure a lot of it comes down to coincidence/financial need, but still seems a little odd for some reason.
No real point in this conversation, just figured I'd see what your opinions were.

Her from titanic ?
Similar in some respects...
Still prefer gwb or rc over Kate , she's colourful but talentless... The scowl is one which will age boringly. IMO o course.

In that in a decade no one will give a flying f**k who either of them are / were......? Kind of hard to say that when both have been more or less perpetually "in the spotlight" for the last fifteen years.
The sad thing is that people will absolutely know/care more about Kate Moss in 20 years than they do about the majority of nobel laureates, but let's not get into that.

S&S is def the stronger image but 500 signed S&S out there, only 150 signed IFTL. S&S was also released much later, all fortunate enough to buy upon release took care of the print. Im sure some of the IFTL were tacked to walls and lost through the years, Banksy wasn't always a treasured commodity.
