Spot on. Where's that video you posted the other day @wiz? That one from the cans festival that had the leopard in it. Was laughing when I saw that and how derivative this stuff can be.

print def looks better than these photos reflect. Did not buy it at the show as i prefer the Faile ballet prints which i already own, but to each their own.
i too am not a ballerina, but do enjoy the ballet when i have attended. i dont know MW's intent, but i do find the idea of tagging interesting as a mixing of high and low art here (ballet and urban).
gotta say this is one of those prints that just doesn't translate well to photo. looked AMAZING in person. good luck to whoever is going for one! This opinion wouldn't have anything to do with your involvement in the show would it? I like what you normally bring to the forum but anything about this show you're incessantly pumping

I think its called influence or more commonly biting.... most street art is based on the same principal.

That said, I can see how people who aren't really into Whatson might go for this print over his other graffiti tag prints. The girlfriend would allow it on the wall (that stuff actually exists) and the tagged skirt/whatever is a little less on-the-nose than tagged riot shields or police horses or some of the other things he's done.
Honestly, there are probably enough nerds who have crushes on ballerinas that this print would sell out from them buying as gifts alone.
I also don't even know if it's possible to "hype/pump" Martin Whatson at this point.

Being in NYC wasn't a terrible time either

Jokes aside, favorite memory was everyone climbing on top of cars to see the Grim Reaper bumper car piece; roughly 4-5 cars on the sidewalk were more or less flattened.
Edit: Favorite memory aside from when I saw Banksy spraying.
