Lovely gesture. Charity raffle is a great idea- and don't restrict tickets. Raise as much £££ as you can and help someone win a banksy at the same time.

BANKSY for £1000, by Deleted on Aug 3, 2014 13:20:28 GMT 1, Firstly thanks for the kind gesture dungle and also jonnhyh via pm, Lets see what gets offered and it looks like the overall consensus to help raise some money for people less fortunate than ourselves i think £10 per ticket so more people can join in and no limit on the number of tickets as its to raise money for charity. The charity the money will go to is donalwalshlivelife.org it was set up in 2013 by the father of Donal Walsh a young co. Kerry lad you sadly lost his fight with cancer at the age of 16. The first time cancer struck was when he was just 12 and he fought and beat it twice however when it returned for a third time the doctors could do no more. Donal was a heroic and inspirational young man who until his final days reached out to try and prevent young teenagers from taking their life through suicide, he reduced the number of suicides dramatically, his voice was a powerful one as living life was a choice taken away from him, just a few weeks before he died he was on national tv still reaching out to help others who still had the choice to live life. The charity was set up after Donal passed by his father Fionnbar to carry on donals legacy, i hope everyone agrees with my choice.
Now all i need now is the Banksy!

My only thought with that is that it means those with more disposable income are more likely to buy a block of tickets to increase their chance of getting a Banksy whereas those who wouldn't normally be able to afford one could probably only afford one or 2 tickets, thus having a much lower chance. If it wasn't for charity, I'd definitely say limit it, but it's difficult to say. Maybe limit it to 5 per person or something?

I think if it's unlimited you'll have the fortunately rich amongst us to buy a hell of a lot more tickets. Think if its £10-£20 a ticket and limit to 5 per person then we're all on a level playing field and a lot of money raised for a worthwhile cause. Everyone's happy. Simples.

Case of damned if you do and damned if you dont re allocation, but like BR says its the charity thats utmost so thats the important thing, winning the Banksy (great idea Andy!) is just a bonus to a lucky git.

Thought id say a thank you. First thing get a banksy, if i have to buy an unsigned for more ill do it, the wheels are in motion now, then ill conyact the charity and let them know what im doing and see if everyone can donate direct, ill keep everyone updated with responses etc as we go.

That said, why not just donate s tenner for the sake of it? I'd be up for a purely charitable donation. All these members talk about the charity is the main thing while always getting a Tee or cheap piece of art, etc....
