This is, what you would call, a disagreement.
I think my nature and the fact I use stencils means my work has always had a clean look to it. And it will probably carry on looking smooth and clean in the future. However, I wanted to get a little looser with the paint than I normally do and this painting was the result. It's a foray into using a bit more texture and lighting in my work and I'm surprisingly pleased with the result. We'll see what more tinkering in the studio yields but this dirtier approach definitely has it's place.

So we did a bit of live streaming yesterday and drew, cut and sprayed this piece from scratch. Originally we wanted to do it all within 100 minutes but it took roughly five hours before we were all done and dusted!

Cheers smokin, sorry you weren't quick enough, although we're doing another stream this Tuesday, so we'll see what pops out of that. It's fun to be doing these pieces within a day and pricing them affordably so they're not lingering.
You can spend so long on various projects, it's nice to have that relatively immediate gratification of finishing a piece!

Books are definitely something we're very much into now. We've always enjoyed doing work in a series and so this is a format that fits it well. Certainly easier than releasing 50 odd giclees, etc.

For Pahnl that piece was "revolt". I just love everything about it. That said there is only one and it was made in 2014. But that didn't stop me from googling it and searching for it on ebay, whenever I was working through my wish lists. Then one day it hit, Full Crate Gallery in the UK had it and it was for sale.
Long story short, It's now mine! Just arrived today! Undamaged and I couldn't be happier! I am thinking about getting it box framed and then torching the right top corner of the frame to match the piece! Eventually I would like to commission Pahnl to create another piece that continues the story of the message in a bottle.
