A lot of people liked it and asked us to make a book. We made a book. It's a beast at 324 pages on 170gsm paper, available for Β£15 plus postage. However since we don't want anyone to miss out on the book, whether they made it to Coventry or are further afield and unable to make it, we've released a second edition of 150 books at Β£20*. If you still fancy a book, you can head to www.pahnl.co.uk/store/ahoubook.php
*The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum subsidized the first run of books but due to printing costs involved on the second edition, the price will now be Β£20, which is totally a bargain for this tome mind you

That may be because Panhl doesn't want to end up with unsold stock, if he is funding these himself now, which is perfectly understandable. Maybe.
I am delighted for Panhl that these are selling out so quickly. You really could not meet a more pleasant chap.

I think The Herbert closes at 4:00 today. If you're in the Coventry area and want to have a laugh, or if your partner is in Ikea and you just can't stand looking at another meatball or cushion, why not pop over and spend an entertaining afternoon learning about the history of man(and woman)kind.
I went last week, and it's brilliant. It's really incredible, the amount of work that Pahnl put into this. Very funny and well put together. I loved it.
Well done to Pahnl and The Herbert. And if you're reading this Herbert, thank you for continuing to be a fun and creative environment for artists.

I second this, really try and get there if you can. I went a few weeks ago and loved it and my 13 yr old daughter - who normally walks around totally disinterested in anything I show an interest in - liked it too so certainly one for the youngsters to also enjoy. Fantastic that it's on my doorstep, the Herbert's really showing some love for street/urban artists (maybe incorrect label but you know what I mean) and the nearest gallery to me (The Mead gallery at Warwick University) can learn a thing or two from The Herbert.
