Most of the 99 releases have been high priced and sub-par examples of the artists' work in my opinion. Customers dwelling on these facts isn't conducive to making sales. By making the release frantic and confused, they create a perfect environment for gotta-grab-it-now, greed-driven, impulse buys rather than thoughtful collecting. |

The Lynch print had the same problem.
I like JR and have one of his prints but I hope he continues to thread carefully. He is at a make or break part of his career. He should focus more on feeling (where he shines) and less on concept (like this). You can just blurt out feeling but concept has to be thoroughly analyzed.

I know JR has made prints using this concept before (photo of paste up like favela etc) but at lease they had meaning. This image does not appeal aesthetically and is pretty pointless.
