Im also a big fan of bwe but does love the American version of shameless to. Imo shameless is a bit better as a series.

Does anyone watch Homeland? I've watched the first 3 series. I enjoyed them all. Especially 2. Compared to this series of Boardwalk its not in the same league. |

I prefer Mad Men as the best thing on TV right now but have always loved Boardwalk.
Not sure anything can ever top The Sopranos though. The Wire came close but for quality through every episode, every seasonโฆ Tony and the family is tough to beat.
Gandolfini was a great loss.

One of the best 'weird' series I've seen recently is 'The Returned' - the French series that took everyone by surprise. I can hugely recommend this if you can get a hold of it on catch up. A new series is in the pipeline.

I hated the wire slow and boring....
It got great reviews the only character I liked was Omar.
Sopranos and Band of Brothers are the pick of the lot in my opinion.
