I have a couple of large prints that won't fit into my A1 flat file folder, and am having difficulties sourcing a larger (A0) folder. Aside from storing between sheets of wood (not really an option in my house due to space) does anyone have any recommendations for how to store large size prints. Best option at the moment is to tube them, and I'd really rather not for obvious reasons.

if your question was directed at the alvin sleeves that i posted, there is just 1 opening (at the bottom) of the sleeve. the sleeve itself is divided only by the black piece of paper (creating 2 separate storage sides).

A1, A0 Portfolio and Sleeves, by willamsa on Jun 28, 2017 19:31:25 GMT 1, I bought a few 40x60 inch foam boards from Atlantis at the weekend, all my large prints fit in nicely layered with acid free tissue . . . and none of the risk of trying to slide into a sleeve.
They reluctantly gave me the box they came in too, so that gives them a little more protection and slides nicely under the bed
I'm sure they were acid free but it doesn't explicitly state acid free on the web site (so will pop in tomorrow and check)

The reviews on those sleeves claim that the holes break really easily, how have to found them to be dude? I have archival Mapac ones and have found them just fine so Iโm wondering if these are different.

I ordered these exact ones in the end, I'll have a look once I get them but in all honesty, if I'm just storing them and not moving them around then I'd expect them to be fine. Maybe the people reviewing these ones were moving them around all of the time. |
