Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Dungle on Feb 1, 2015 19:23:32 GMT 1, I've just taken this part of your post and I don't think it is out of context. But really? What do you mean?Β The War in Iraq was approved by the international community due to the false presentation of uranium to the UN; at the time it was considered a just war. It was not. The rise of the Nazi party in Germany was considered a politically correct movement in the context of post-WWI socioeconomic destruction, and was lauded by the international community in the 1920s and early 1930s due to its ability to rebuild international political and economic ties. It was clearly not worthy of any praise. I guess I'm saying that politically correct does not always mean correct or humane, in the slightest. But this conversation is getting really off track.
What a brilliantly relevent post to a Borondo thread.
mods any chance we could try to keep the threads relevant?

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by delano on Feb 1, 2015 19:33:19 GMT 1, I am looking forward to the collaboration piece between Borondo & Italian wire sculptor Edoardo Tresoldi.
I think this piece is great
However, in the current climate on this thread, I will say before it gets pointed out ten different ways - I am aware & fully appreciate that there are other sculptors in the world & that there have been Italian artists before Edoardo Tresoldi.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by FΠ― on Feb 1, 2015 20:32:27 GMT 1, All this stuff is like swoon and connor harrington having a Kid. Can someone enlighten me on why they are pooing their pants over this stuff. i think its because there is a lack of anything else around. tell me if there was a banksy show on next door would this be sold out or any other of the big players. nope. seems like these days if you paint big walls and weird s**t, like canal boats you become the oracle. The same could be said of Ernest Zacherist who you hyped the life out of and then sold. Or your opinion on Sandra Chevier, or that bloke on a cow who was the best thing since sliced bread. All it is is opinions, if you expect people to respect your opinions then you should perhaps show the same respect. I get it that you and others don't like Borondo, but surely you can then just ignore a thread once you've said your piece. He is a prolific artist on the street and this is a street art forum after all. Not talking about anyone else, dont change the artists at hand. tell us why you like boringdo, moron.

Ones hyping this artist each owns an artist's artwork. Easy as that. Trying to increase the fanbase and get the word out there, all hoping to increase the value of the artwork they own. Pretty sad in my opinion. There is absolutely nothing appealing about Borondo's artwork. Just dreaded looking.

I do think that hype goggles are making some of you think that his bad pieces are good. He's made some incredible work in the past, but most artists are capable of misfiring plenty of times.

FR always shows an arrogance typical of the rude ignorant. And I have decided a long time ago not to engage with that type of people.

So grateful to have your expert judgment submitted for everyone's education.
Hopefully someone can get word to Borondo that he should step up the neon colors and smiley faces, maybe include a (bee) or (lion) to quench the thirsty masses?
Honestly the anti-hype lynch mobs are getting to be virtually as indigestible as the pro-hype ones.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Nick on Feb 1, 2015 21:26:32 GMT 1, I happen to own exactly zero pieces by Borondo, and i have been about as vocal as anyone on this thread. Why all this hype trashtalk nonsense? This thread is 10 pages long, and at no point has cost, re sale, investmemt come into discussion. Borondo has been producing some stellar walls in and around london, and having seen and admired these i'm looking forward to his show. If you are not, run along to another thread...
