Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Coach on Dec 28, 2014 20:52:30 GMT 1, Tbh I can't really see how quinnster's comments can be described as bullying. And for that matter, it's not something that quinnster does, as far as I've been able to tell from sharing this forum with him for quite some time.

Try following her on Facebook. I don't, but some people I'm "friends" with on FB do, and so I see some of her posts. She seems to announce her sales on FB. She certainly did re her latest release of the girl with stripy stockings.

I'd blame the gremlins, the scene where the gremlin was minced in the liquidizer was pretty shocking for a kid. If i get minced i hope its head first!

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by iamzero on Dec 28, 2014 22:20:19 GMT 1, I think they are more than shockingly bad if I'm honest... I was trying to be polite. Bambi stencils hold no warmth or humour or cleverness for want of a better word for me. The images are badly prepared in the pre cutting stage and just don't work well in my opinion. Just look at the show us your own art section and tell me at least 80% of it isn't head and shoulders above the stuff Bambi puts out. I don't see bullying either just people expressing they don't telling if stuff is any good because Johnny Depp 'buys' it
Incidentally I found the sun article about Pegasus this morning while sorting out the hens. Laid out the paper on tray of the coop... It'll make me smile when it's covered in chicken poop by first light.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by dashboll on Dec 28, 2014 22:40:19 GMT 1, I stand to be corrected here, I've always admitted being fairly new to the street art scene, but something about this work just doesn't ring true to me, when you look at bambi's site its as near as dammit trying to portray her as the female banksy. Now, although I don't mind banksy's work, it's not actually what I really like, so I'm not saying banksy is king and everyone else is shit as I certainly don't think that to be the case.
But in the case of bambi, I know I've taken the piss about Mo farah, but she was selling a load of Olympic pieces, I just don't see the "art" in it? I feels like next it'll be the characters from rainbow, whatever can be found on google images. Where's the skill? What's the story? I'm all for new artists, new art and new ideas, I've picked up some stunning stuff from this forum for less than the price of a meal and been blown away. Taking what looks like standard images from Google, photoshopping them into cutouts and then making into stencils does seem like me thinking I can nick off with eine's work by getting a few typefaces together and making some prints - an easy rip off, but no artistic thought, just the thought of $$$ passing off stuff as art.
In my mind, this is what bambi is doing. Like I said at the start, im happy to stand corrected, after all, what the fuck do I know!

Not really. But then again the 'community' could try being a little friendlier to newer members instead of attacking them because they do not approve of the artists they like. But there again, Ali G has already told us to expect a hard time and that we have to earn your respect.

Well said. This could be applied to so many artists that are loved here.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Rouen Cathedral on Dec 29, 2014 18:25:19 GMT 1, is this referring to Walton Fine Arts? if so, then no he does not work for or with themΒ Just checking as they are the primary hypers of this artist. There is another Gallery who I won't name who sells overpriced art and frequently claims they are investment items it's marketing... Seems the only people buying Bambi are investors.... There is no market for Bambi as it's not real art or street art it's a hype machine riding on Banksys back. Just look at evey thing ever written about her and that defaced flags thing she did...
Not real art?
Please tell me what the definition of Art is and how her works don't apply?

Bambi is to art what
Milli Vanilli was to music.

And how is Banksy different. Could the same not be said for 'him' how so? He hasn't built his career on publicity, he's used it, but not soley relied upon it. Banbi is attempting to use media to convince the world her work is worth having. Ie all the stories of star buyers, where as Banksy has had lots of coverage for his efforts, his (actual) star buyers and the general buzz around what he does.
Trying to shove your work down peoples throats by using the media, is not the same.
And thats without getting too far into the fact that when a collector appears here, that all they can say is "i was advised to invest". Which was in fact a perfect example of how completely lacking in real fan base this "ARTIST" is.

So you don't like her publicity and use of media? You do realize Banksy relies very much on publicity and media.
And since when does having a fan base make you an 'artist'. Honestly it seems that a lot of 'artists' who have fan bases actually become quite redundant and boring.

Banbi is attempting to use media to convince the world her work is worth having. Ie all the stories of star buyers, where as Banksy has had lots of coverage for his efforts, his (actual) star buyers and the general buzz around what he does.Β Trying to shove your work down peoples throats by using the media, is not the same.Β And thats without getting too far into the fact that when a collector appears here, that all they can say is "i was advised to invest". Which was in fact aΒ perfect example of how completely lacking in real fan base this "ARTIST" is.Β So you don't like her publicity and use of media? You do realize Banksy relies very much on publicity and media. And since when does having a fan base make you an 'artist'. Honestly it seems that a lot of 'artists' who have fan bases actually become quite redundant and boring.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Rouen Cathedral on Dec 29, 2014 19:33:23 GMT 1, And how is Banksy different. Could the same not be said for 'him'
Are you for real
Β What a stupid thing to say
Lol. I knew that would have people running.
If it makes you feel better substitute 'Banksy' with any artists name you like. It will basically be the same thing. Haha
