Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by munlennial on Dec 31, 2014 15:19:51 GMT 1, Hilarious that idiots buy this shit. For this reason, people will always rip off art. A sucker is born every minute. About a dozen or so every second, here.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by searchandrescue on Dec 31, 2014 15:32:00 GMT 1, Maybe we should let a Β£2k piece do the talking here, they say a picture tells a 1000 words... Agreed, Such a powerful image. And very well executed. Nothing on this piece though- titled 'Undredoomed Plodge' As its title clearly suggests, 'underdoomed plodge' is a commentary on both the fragility of life and the fragility of the contemporary art market. What starts in life as yearning soon becomes finessed into a carnival of distress, leaving only a sense of decadence and the inevitability of a new beginning. As temporal replicas become reconfigured through diligent and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with an epitaph for the inaccuracies of our era. A true modern masterpiece. "...a carnival of distress" fucking brilliant ling.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Rouen Cathedral on Dec 31, 2014 15:44:22 GMT 1, Sorry but your 'facts' mean nothing. Your perception of the people running the gallery means nothing and shows no fact about Bambi or her art. I'm still confused why your original post (the one I researched) said it was your opinion that it was a carpet shop. Who cares if it use to be a carpet shop. That's makes it all the more interesting really. Lol. Add to the art! The Tate use to be a power station! Fact! You are really from a different species, aren't you ?!? ;-) It's NOT the fact that there used to be a carpet shop where the wannabee gallery stands nowdays that is the point you dumbo, it's the fact that it's THE VERY SAME PEOPLE who run both... you get it or you need another 5 min to think about it Basically, some people who were selling carpets for years in a fancy part of London decided overnight they would become an "FINE ART" Gallery (that's their name in case you're lost !!!) and had nothing else to offer than Bambi sh8 plus a few massively over-priced prints by some established artists. You are obviously allowed to believe they are great people to deal with and that Bambi is the best out there but I feel obliged to repeat and share those FACTS with the rest of the UAA Community ... Basic question (let's keep it simple for you) : are the people who run the Tate the very same persons who used to run the Power Station ? If you don't find the answer (which I'm afraid might be the case), then many of us will be more than happy to share a clue with you later ;-) The above bolded shows a lot. It shows your perception is way off. And your perception is actually fabricated lies.
No where have I said they are great people. No where have I said Bambi is the best out there.
So no. Your perception does not equal facts. It's acutally just been proven to be the exact opposite. You just make up complete lies.
And you you want me to believe what you say? Lol
You like to call me names but no that me calling you a liar is quite the opposite. It's been proven that you just put words in my mouth and try to pull them off as fact. Sorry but you have no credibility.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Rouen Cathedral on Dec 31, 2014 15:46:03 GMT 1, @ling that is beautiful, I have a tear in my eye. Very clever how it blends into the environment, looks like the kid is levitating, I wonder what it means? Too deep for me I'm afraid Haha that's is a little funky looking right. Kind of like Banksy and his mastery of feet!
Artists these days...

Seems like there was a hype attempt re the street sale with a sad excuse for a pop-up shop to rip off the uneducated. Funny though, after having gotten myself caught in a rug shop in Morocco years ago, I would imagine the feeling of being in a Bambi Pop-Up Art Shop (Rug Shop) to be much the same, however easier to escape.
To lighten up the mood, check out the issues Play-Doh is dealing with due to one of the items in their holiday gift packs: gawker.com/play-doh-frantically-deleting-dick-pics-from-its-facebo-1676359892?rev=1419954071340&utm_campaign=socialflow_gawker_facebook&utm_source=gawker_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by 11 on Dec 31, 2014 18:03:12 GMT 1, So the rug shop was there first but what came next - the fine art shop or Bambi - one must have discovered / manufactured the other.
And was this pop-up supported by Waltons? If it was then think it's a very risky strategy when the only place you can buy secondary is from source gallery (how does that work) tand they want upwards of 2k for an edition of 10 spray on paper?
They create a perception that her prices are immediately doubled or tripled if you got in on primary - but is that not similar to art that you see languishing on the bay for months - just because it's for sale at that price doesn't mean people actually buy it
Can someone just whack one on the bay with a 99p start and we can all see whether public opinion matches PR

It is interesting that there is basically none of her work on the bay.

... however your idea would not work as Lenny and the people who work in the carpet shop would bid it up ...
... a practice not unknown in real auctions and other galleries I am led to believe

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Dec 31, 2014 19:06:31 GMT 1, would anyone pay 10k for a Banksy print or a few K for an unsigned print if they knew that the prices would never go any higher than what they paid? It all seems to be judged on speculation and profit these days. You are describing the entire art market - speculation and profit. Been this way for as long as I can remember, on fire currently. I meant a comparisom between Bambi art and prints and Banksy art and prints for the people who say Bambi is rubbish.
Would these people say the same if due to some unexplained event, Banksy prices stayed where they are or dropped and Bambi prices began rising. My money is on them telling everyone how great Bambi is etc etc.
It happens all the time with Brainwash where people big him up just cos he is Banksy's pal and some would say a good flip.
The art market speculation and profit is less speculation today and more profit.
It's generally rigged with dealers galleries knowing who they will promote as Saatchi did with Hirst and Emin etc.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Dec 31, 2014 19:08:30 GMT 1, So the 'art' doesn't interest you? Could you please show my your favorite Bambi piece and at least tell me why? How it makes you feel? Why you like it so? The Daniel Craig stencil on her site with Craig having no hands is significant and carries important political and human rights message as well as exposing things for what they really are.

That is because it won't sell. Only the uninformed and completely blind are buying into the Bambi hype. Those that are buying into it fit the famous quote "a fool and his money are soon parted".

So what does that make all the art works that are listed and still don't sell?

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Dec 31, 2014 19:59:40 GMT 1, are the carpets any good?
Wonder if Saysell buys his rugs from there?
I think Bambi's art reflects too much celebrities in poses as if that is her world.
I doubt she would want to rock the celebrity boat too much as all those record and media execs know each other and can be quite vindictive.
