Banksy £10 • Di-Faced Tenner, by Stella Dore on Apr 26, 2007 21:48:53 GMT 1, At Santas Ghetto in 2004 I was given a signed Di-Faced ten pound note which I am now being forced to sale - as while I love it it will not keep me warm when my landlord kicks me out for not paying the rent! This has never been available for sale. Lazinc will not provide written provenance but kindly say they will confirm authenticity over the phone. If anyone is interested please send me a PM. As you can imagine it won't be cheap but it will be an extra special addition to any Banksy collection and you will get a warm fuzzy feeling as if you had donated to 'Shelter' for homeless people but this being for nearly homeless art dealers....x

I'm not sure what you are proposing to pay but guess that anything below £200 would be fairly good these days. There are rumours of a few fakes about though so make sure you're buying from a trusted supplier!

I wasn't there myself, but I think it was Reading.
The knackered one on ebay recently claimed to be from Reading as well. Obviously that doesn't proove anything, but I think it was there.

Cheers Stuey, there have been at least 2 in the last few months that I believe to be duff, obviously badly cut and very dubious stories... If buying I would recommend dealing with someone you know / trust. How many folk at reading 3 years ago do you think really managed to grab a handfull of pristine uncreased DFTs, managed to keep them pristine for the weekend, conveniently forgot the owned them for 3 years and then decided to sell their prized posessions.... As nice as they are, is it really worth taking the risk? |

Yeah, they've got no editon numbers. One with a SG receipt would be worth getting your hands on though. Its funny how many people don't seem to have a receipt. I remember Laz being very communicative to me in the 2004 show about the importance of keeping the receipt for the golf sale. Its like he knew wayback then what the future would hold. Wierd when i think about it.
