would i be right to think they were giving them out at a music festival? if it could be likely that someone grabbed a load and kept them safe, however with by what most of you are saying they can be forged easily, my advice then to anyone would be to ask someone wha has an original to copy one for them.

As far as I remember there was nothing saying "Di faced tenner" on the receipt (mine's tucked away somewhere upstairs)

In December 2004 I was working at a psychiatric hospital and the team had a "Secret Santa" affair. I bought a Di faced tenner and a roll of "polite tape" as a present for a psychologist. I remember when he opened the present, he just stared at them in silence not knowing what to think. I had to get someone to tell him later that they were "art" and that he should keep it in it's envelope (they came in nice brown card envelopes) with the receipt!

I have had this singed banksy £10 note now for nearly a year and ive always wanted to know how much its worth (not that i am interested in selling it as it was a personal gift from him) I want to know a estimated value on it any ideas ?

As there are only 2 kicking about cartrain, who knows?, just enjoy your GIFT and dont worry about the cash value, the fact that nobody has offered a value for the last 4 times you have asked might tell you something..... As you mention its not getting sold so a cash value matters not.

Seriously though i wouldn't pay loads for one, it's a nicely done concept and would make a bit of a curiosity/talking point for the wall, especially if it has a story behind it like yours.

Maybe a couple of grand if you find the write buyer and it didn't have that big bloody red arrow on it. Looks like a Jef Aerosol/Banksy collab piece

Without any prov, its worth as much as a normal one without any prov ( if you know what I'm saying) with prov its a nice wee piece but still thing 3 K is a bit OTT, if it does see that then it'll be the biggest banksy markup ever - £10 to £3000......
Then again it started off at only 2 now there are at least 4 on the go ( Stephs, facebook guy, the kid who was doing the school project and cartrains.....)
bet we will see a few more coming out of the woodwork soon, as some comedy punters see what they look like and hear what they are worth ( in a similar style to the backdoor signed gift prints from this time last year).
