Bonhams • Art Auctions • London 🇬🇧, by Jimmy Oscar on Jun 17, 2015 20:35:21 GMT 1, Might make some of the dreamers on here wake up and smell the coffee.
Seen folk asking for 9K or 10K for a signed Applause this week and other such silly pricing.
Time to come back down from fantasy land for some.

The less popular images seem readily available, Napalm, Toxic Mary seem to be readily available but trying to get someone to sell a GWRB or LIITA appears to getting increasingly difficult and prices rising.

There's an AP HC on Hang Up for 19k so it seems to make some difference. Not much difference to me mind as I'd just be happy if I could afford the unsigned! Think the real bargain in all of this was the signed WSM.

Excluding pricing I would personally love to walk past GWB everyday in my house, rather than Kate - GWB has a timeless appeal, but that's only my opinion.

It 'appeared' that 4cm might be missing ? But I'm not sure.

Excluding pricing I would personally love to walk past GWB everyday in my house, rather than Kate - GWB has a timeless appeal, but that's only my opinion. I think it is very hard to compare their assent in price with the Kate originally selling at £2500 with 50 available (of the original version) compared to £150 / 150 of the signed GWB. Being his best known iconic piece it is not surprising where is has gone and will continue to go. Would be curious to see an original GWB go at auction now.

Not much love for WSM they have never gone much over £3k, maybe the overseas Banksy buyers don't get it.
I would love one....

Bonhams • Art Auctions • London 🇬🇧, by lobster on Jun 18, 2015 10:59:27 GMT 1, Have to say I would be gutted if I sent any signed Banksy's to this auction.
Of course hindsight is a wonderful thing and the previous auction the prices were very strong but what would the consignee really get back on these ?? Maybe £32K for the signed Girl With Balloon / £13k (!!) for the mint Rat and less than £4K for a signed Weston Super Mare ??
They surely could have achieved more on ebay or here ??
Or has the bubble actually burst Interesting times.

Suppose all things are relative, if the seller had paid £150 for it back in the day then he / she has had more than a nice return but if he / she paid £30k for it then not so but still made a few quid.
