Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Howard Johnson on Jun 15, 2016 22:56:40 GMT 1, I feel like selling so many damaged prints is terrible form by bonhams. How hard is it to find mint banksys? They sell every day here on the forum. If Your gonna pay a huge markup to buy from a blue chip auction house you should rightly expect only the upmost of quality.

They sell every day here on the forum. If Your gonna pay a huge markup to buy from a blue chip auction house you should rightly expect only the upmost of quality. I think it's at least refreshing to see a quality professional condition report. A good conservationist will offer this service at a fair price. I wouldn't say "Mint" Banksy prints are sold everyday on here. "Mint" is unfortunately so highly subjective and many that are said to be "mint" are in fact not even close upon actual inspection (not all mind you but many that I have come across in my searches). For context I collected comic books for many years CGC is the most respected and well known grading standard, although there are a few others that don't command the premium that CGC does. They are on a 10 point scale with .5 each number until the 9s which is then every .2 That is getting a bit nerdy but I wish there was more of a grading standard for some of these prints as well.

Do UK buyers pay VAT on top of the hammer price? Foreign buyers do not pay VAT but may be subject to duties when importing depending on where they are which is why this is not calculated in the posted sales price.
S&S killed it at $46k.. know they are in high demand and rising but that was definitely a record.

Fees for the USA is about 34% plus the artist resale right percentage. Also shipping cost! Haha

All those prints had "AR" attached to the listing.

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Black Apple Art on Jun 22, 2016 18:50:03 GMT 1, Excluding the fees does not show what was actually paid for the pieces so a bit deceptive. Should you not also show the prices achieved by the sellers (Hammer minus Seller Premiums and any other fees)? Otherwise that can be deceptive, as well. Well ultimately the significant factor is what buyers actually pay for these pieces and not what a seller nets due to various fees structures ect. All and all just a guide and more affirmation of the constant increase in demand and decrease in supply.
