Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Viking Surfer on Nov 5, 2016 17:04:51 GMT 1, All the rude copper have something! I will said this one is in good conditions I disagree, having searched for quite some time for a Rude Copper, i've probably come across 10 to 12 and this is the worst condition RC so far.
Yes the paper was flimsy and many had conditions, however most can restored almost as good as new.
Foxing is a little tricker.

Do you know condition report of these ? As some prices seem cheap in today's market, especially that napalm

I heard the condition wasn't great on any of them, far from decent and no where near mint.

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Eton Groover on Nov 17, 2016 16:21:26 GMT 1, Prices look OK but the seller would only receive in the region of 65-70% of the actual prices above. For example the seller would get in the region of Β£11k for the trolleys, circa Β£9k for the signed CND and soup cans, and about Β£7k for the rude copper. It puts a lot of the prices that are asked for on here in perspective. As long as they are not ripped or creased the condition isn't that important to most people.

These are indeed quite low net for the seller, because with no more effort than a phone call most galleries would have consigned / bought for more than that
Really is down to knowing exactly how minor / major the condition issues were, because if the issues were minor all of these prints would fly at those prices, especially the RC !!

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Unica on Nov 17, 2016 16:54:08 GMT 1, I'm in the camp that condition is important, i'd rather pay a premium and get as close to mint as possible. My OCD would drive me crazy looking at a print with condition issues. Plus if I ever needed to sell, I know that many Banksy buyers are very condition conscious by the number of wanted posts requesting mint condition, i've not see many saying condition isn't an issue. I expect this is why the seller stuck them in the auction, hoping to get someone who didn't care or a buyer that didn't do there due diligence. Easy hassle free sale.

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Eton Groover on Nov 17, 2016 17:22:53 GMT 1, There is an awful lot of price protection goes on here and the hype is self fulfilling. Every Banksy seems to go for more than the last one. One seller on here was "inundated" by offers, even some over their Β£11k asking price, for an unsigned Barcode when there was one sitting in a gallery for Β£12k. How desperate are you that you just don't pay the extra Β£1k. If 11k isn't a problem, then surely neither is Β£12!. (The unsigned gallery Barcode is still available at Β£12k btw) There were two Choose your Weapons at over Β£20k in the last few weeks. Of course none of these sales are verified or verifiable, but simply serve increase the hype and excitement about how much everyone's Banksy is worth. Banksy is very popular but not as popular as people on this forum think. In here you are preaching to the converted.

I suspect you overestimate the power of the musings of some of the contributors here. As for the user name - I was trying to tag you, but maybe you've had to change it for a reason and I must have hit a nerve ?. You appear fixated with that barcode sale & the fact that another is still available at prescription art for a slightly higher price, maybe you need another hobby to pass the time constructively?

That's a bit of a strange thing to say after the recent Banksy Forum Auction in London town. I think all the prints went for a lot more than what they are being sold for on here - certainly including buyers premium. Secondly, Β£1,000 is a fair bit of money to some people. Why pay 12k if you can pay Β£11k would be a more sensible view. Thirdly, I went specifically to prescription art (took a chunk out of my day) recently to look at a few pieces...they couldn't even be bothered to open up on time and the place looked a mess. Some people prefer to go private as they know galleries take a large slice and seem to think all prints they have are mint. Anyway, each to their own.

Perhaps the site resolves to multiple DNS names.
Edit: well I'll be damned. When I posted, the site changed http:// banksyforum . proboards . com/ to urbanartassociation.com, so definitely it is a DNS alias.
