Kunstrasen Appreciation Thread, by Dr Plip on Jan 13, 2015 0:34:08 GMT 1, One of my favorite pieces, a collaboration between Kunstrassen and my lad. I shall not forget how generous Kunstrassen was, do do this with him. I am delighted for him that his work is being appreciated. He's a jolly nice chap. I forgot about that, Coach. Very cool.

Nice gesture by the artist , and a special piece to have . Upfest ?
If I see any 8mail tags when out , I can say I know the artist ;-)

Kunstrasen Appreciation Thread, by Fะฏ on Jan 13, 2015 0:42:55 GMT 1, This thread keeps popping up in the latest posts. It is interesting as i am yet to see anything i have not seen done many times before elsewhere with a better execution. Kunatrasen, this is not a personal dig at you... You know my thoughts. You are a nice guy with skills - but do something new!!
are we all really this bored to keep talking about these sort of images every year. Not sure how much more of this i can take, i would not mind if it was something new.

Kunstrasen Appreciation Thread, by Graffiti Prints on Jan 13, 2015 0:46:00 GMT 1, Another thing that effects the work is the gallerist / print house they have different motives to the artists mostly to make as much cash as possible regardless of effect on the artist career , simply represent new artists if not a successful relationship [/quote]
So I only sell his work so that's directed at me.
it's the complete opposite, I know most only see from the outside, but unless I'm wrong i know who you are and always thought you a very nice balanced guy hence I'm shocked.
You have seen me and whatson together it's not like that and your have met me face to face I am surprised you have become that cynical
I get digs here and I wanna ignore them but I treat all the artists I work with big or small with a lot of respect and that includes phil
It's funny but if I'm honest I would have sold spot remover for ยฃ250!!! yes More, I get a lot of mails from normal customers that don't come here not used to releases telling me the site is crap because it does not let you cart after a second or two!
I explain etc but most of these people don't buy on eBay ESP at buy it now best offer
It's almost take the quick flip out of it and sell it to people who really want it but phil refused to put the price up to his credit and it's up to him I don't give him the big one!
On that note if I'm honest If there is one thing I think kills reality in the secondary markets it's eBay best offer shit
Click auctions and hardly anything comes up
Yet auctions are doing well as so many best offers out there, whatever happened to its worth what people are prepared to pay on the day
E.g I seen a whatson framed go for ยฃ340 the other day yet see them at ยฃ350 best offer all the time for ages
Just think about all the money eBay is making off those 30 day adverts no one buys from ffs that gets to me too!
Good luck to phil he deserves it, his canvases are quality I loved spot remover and have it next to beejoirs Imodium 70 looks ace

Again it's a forum , it's for discussion , it's my opinion and will differ from others hence enter into a discussion , reading the whole thread there's other discussions regarding the urban art scene and how art is perceived , it's a touchy subject , talking about prices , but there's a few that agree with me.
Was not in reference towards GP , just in general it happens on all scales through out the different art genres and guys should not be blind to this , it's nothing new .
A lot of people buy here for appreciation of art and as a hobby .
It's good to see people with history and graft and passion with their trade come through the ranks ,
This scene has started to be just viewed as a money earner and this doesn't help progress the scene and develop new ideas , it's too easy to follow a formula to keep fans happy bringing in cash and work becomes stagnant , it's nice to be part of a new movement and see it develop with fresh new ideas. Too many comments on judging a piece of art by wether it's a sellout on release in 2 mins rather than critique the piece of art produce and wether it merits it worth
No part are there accusations being labelled towards individuals just observations in general , the artist kunstrasten has produce SOME nice pieces and one that I would like to have in my collection.
The prices are still expensive to some people but in general people are conditioned to banksy prices so they appear cheap

Kunstrasen Appreciation Thread, by Happy Go Lucky Chap on Jan 13, 2015 2:42:36 GMT 1, Kunstrasen's "Art Makes Me Happy" pretty much sums up the sentiment of this thread and in general this board.
Nice to see some of the more obscure pieces being posted, some of which I remember being available but regrettably never bought at the time. Fair enough, we all want to buy art at near to cost but in this game that's never always going to happen.
At this moment in time I am just pleased that I have been able to afford some Kunstrasen pieces before the prices inevitably rise.
Graffiti Prints I feel a bun fight coming on for the next release.

Kunstrasen Appreciation Thread, by Gunny on Jan 13, 2015 3:47:01 GMT 1, This is what I think - everyone is entitled to their thoughts, Some people like Mr FR seem to always be putting Kunstrasen down for 'not being innovative' and coming up with a totally new concept! Rubbish in my opinion, all artists have appropriated other artists works for years and indeed been influenced. Nevertheless, he and others are entitled to their opinion, but no need to keep bashing at it, whilst hyping the f*&^ out of everything else in your collection! Kunstrasen is an artist developing and in my opinion has got better and better as time has gone along (just my opinion, I appreciate others may think differently). To say Graffiti prints sell art that is not Graffiti art so therefore it is a bad use of the word Graffiti in the business name is crackers. Are all workers at Virgin, 'Virgins'? There is a lot of work on this 'urban art' forum that is not urban art and its not a bad thing. Many people love all forms of art and this forum has brought many different artists into my life. i also think graffiti prints have also been good at helping and promoting some emerging talent (again just my opinion). Also in my opinion, there has been a need for a publisher of prints to keep us interested as there has been a lull since POW stopped producing so much and I feel GP have done a job in keeping us interested. Taking on people like Kunstrasen helps the artists and helps the development of their career.
Lastly, forgetting the art, in general Kunstrasen is a really nice guy to deal with and a decent person.
