Dran Show • Public Execution, London 2015, by supercockle on Feb 22, 2015 9:32:50 GMT 1, Is anyone there already? I live in East London and can make it there in about an hour. Is there any chance of me getting a print if I did?!? Already down here its packed, soo annoyed got no chance of getting one coming home now! Waste of my time*!!!
I arrived at 9. There were perhaps 40 to 50 people there.
Everyone got what they wanted apart from a lot of the obvious flippers, whom POW did their best to weed out.
Dare I suggest that you weren't there yet and only trying to stop others who might get there before you? ?

Dran Show • Public Execution, London 2015, by supercockle on Feb 22, 2015 10:00:19 GMT 1, They handed out numbered tickets to people in the queue. As they were doing so, they asked questions of people about why they were there and what they were buying. People in front of me didn't know the artist. There were four of them together. They were allowed one ticket between the four of them. Whilst not entirely perfect POW were trying to ensure that genuine fans got what they had queued up for.
If you had joined the queue at 11 you would still have got a HOC.

Dran Show • Public Execution, London 2015, by Deleted on Feb 22, 2015 10:11:15 GMT 1, anyway, if you are thinking of slagging POW, then kindly f**k off they produced a pop up show, a bit different from the usual shows we trawl along to - a proper art happening in a central location and they produced some prints. I never went, my fault obvs if POW did an online print drop, there would be b**ching from some people anyway Well done POW- its good to know you are still in the game I don't know why your banging on about the prints but for an artist/gallery selling original pieces of work for £15,000-20,000 (dran original) i expect a lot better from. POW are a business and the way business is conducted is extremely unprofessional to say the least. POW maybe in the "game" but its the same "game" as pure evil, stolen space and the rest of the s**te. There are some great galleries out there and maybe some of you guys should try visiting a few and see how they treat customers. if you honestly believe this isn't about the money maybe someone should have suggested that Dran painted out on the streets like most street artist do....
I didnt get to the show so cant comment on unprofessionalism but i loved the creative concept of this show, thinking outside the box, a lot of the time theres very little creativity put into artists shows....hang pictures, invite people, sip wine, smile, nod head in agreement, straight back, this seemed much more interesting. Reading some of the comments it would have been good to let the show run for a few weeks once sales were done so it could be enjoyed at a more leisurely pace, i think other galleries could learn from this, street art isnt conventional...i dont think exhibitions of street art should be either, it should be mixed up and pushed forward for what it is, a bit raw, it would be a shame if it completely transversed into mainstream commercial, pow are a business so of course their aim is to make money although i think they'll continue to do it their way, at least i hope so.

Dran Show • Public Execution, London 2015, by Lroy on Feb 22, 2015 10:15:11 GMT 1, I am quite sure that the prints - I did not want one anyway -, a few I presume, in sale at Pow was already reserved to some people. VIP- er... ( is this real the mail before as I read upstairs, or not ? ) ?
I remember for the august sales of Gorillaz characters, they bloked my Ip adress, I could not buy anything. Then for limited edition - as Ziggy - they made clear my basket or paypal account when I got one. Can they do that, or I am a paranoïd guy ?
Anyway for the lovers of Dran ( I prefer to see them in books - Pow still get one in sale ) , one thing is sure, the prints were very cheap ( compared to the edtion, etc... ) half and more than an Invader....

For godsakes they would have gone out of business many years ago if that was the case. but if you think selling bits of paper for a couple of hundred quid is what POW's business is... I'll leave you to the daydreaming. have a lovely day. Lol okay mate you really don't have a clue.

I met someone who had joined the queue around 12 only to be told when he finally made it to near the front of the queue that HOC had "sold out". He popped back later around 3 pm to find them still being sold (not overtly so as the table had gone) so he purchased one. Full marks to him for perseverance and luck. I wonder how many others though were disappointed and simply left.

Dran Show • Public Execution, London 2015, by Nico on Feb 22, 2015 11:32:53 GMT 1, I thought POW did well in weeding out flippers, not an easy task. I was around 40th in the queue, seems everyone managed a print, I got both after queueing a second time and a lovely little doodle on the only paper I had left in my pocket! Now down to the framers for both. Happy.

Thanks for pointing out the book at POW Lroy - just ordered one. Can't ever see a Dran on my wall (certainly neither of these) but a book would be perfect.

As You see, on Pow, you can find a book of Dran for only 10 quids ( the original was from 2005 - sold out -, I don't know if its a re-reissue or not, anyway its a great one ). Another great re-issue from 2011, with new drawings ( you can find it - fantastic edition !! - for 25 euros on Fnac.com - do they ship for England ? - I will give you the links), you have re-expedition in cardboard ) . Anyway, it 's sold out on Amazon.fr or .com, and sold for more than 120 euros and more ( crazy ! ) ...
Here is the website of Dran ( you have to click on the hole in the cardboard ) , of The Fnac shop, and website of fan clubs, for the fans great things to see... and to savor ! :-) ... On google you can find more and more...

Dran Show • Public Execution, London 2015, by ad2lb on Feb 22, 2015 14:11:02 GMT 1, I've try a couple months ago to purchase both from Fnac (i'm in France) and after several emails from them for some supply problem i has been refunded Don't know if it's still the case Oh Sh.t, I hope that it is not still the case ( otherwyse I will order one at POW ) ... For England, shipping is not too high... Lol, what is funny it that I paid recently only 1, 50 euros + 3 euros shipping for " J'aime ma ville " ... sold out. The book is mint. Fingers corssed for the FNAC. Anyway on ebay we can find some too...
Yeah hope they're resolved that by now Seems éditions populaire didn't have them in stock anymore don't know why they still offered them 3,20£ from UK just purchased one 4,50€ is a fantastic deal! Hope i'll found "je t'aime" (last one for me) at that price
