I don't understand why people buy then immediately list. Either buy it cause you like it, or buy it and sit on it until enough trade hands that buyers out number sellers. But "instaflipping" Whatsons is not a good business model. Not saying you can't try if you want, just not a good idea.

I like Whatsons tagging and have a canvas by him but would hesitate to pay a premium for a print as there will be another one shortly. If I wait a month or two I reckon I could get one below cost from a flipper trying to dump it. So not in a rush to pay over asking for this one. |

I suppose that could also explain it. I think most likely its a mix. If he came out with a killer image that was super original and creative, then it might well be flippers paradise. But in the end, the more flippers get in on the print, the more supply equals or outstrips demand (in the short term at least). I suppose a better image just creates a greater demand, so it doesn't really matter how many are flipping. I think a good example is phlegm's recent print: great image, still "flipped" even though tons were trying to flip.
