Kunstrasen show, by lha on Jun 18, 2015 22:02:32 GMT 1, Gone in 23 mins ..... Is Kunstrasen, over hyped, over loved, or the real deal ........ ? All that's happened is the same thing that happens here every year, a bunch of new ppl get excited about a rip off artist who feels new to them because their knowledge is small (save for a couple of brain dead long term members who've never bothered to learn anything) .... As knowledge comes they see they were stupid and forget about said rip off artist
I've been on the forum around 7 years, so I'm not new. I got introduced to Banksys work in 1999 when playing in goal for the Easton Cowboys and been interested since then. I've been into Kunstrasens work for three or so years since his second release through the forum. So I guess I fall into your box 'brain dead long term member who never bothered to learn anything' Not quite sure what your point is angry man, have you got a small willy?

1. 'Just saying' should make your comment null and void
2. Who's saying they're overtly telling us they're banksy? Just look at their freaking work and weak pastiches it's obvious.

Fair point. Or (3) leave like countless others have. They say the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Maybe not but at least there is positive, constructive talk about artificial turf

Cool, cheers dreadnatty. Unlike me to get involved with forum shenanigans but sometimes you've got to say what you're thinking. I'm still here but I'll decline to comment further in this thread. I'll exit it with a positive. Congratulations to Kunstrasen on his first print selling out. Also to artROOM Konstanz on the handling of the print sale and a very successful show. Good work guys. Happy for those that were after a print and got one. Keep up the good work K, great to see how things have progressed over the years up to the point of your print release yesterday. Great artist and a gent. Keep on keeping on, looking forward to more

Kunstrasen show, by Coach on Jun 19, 2015 14:53:21 GMT 1, I don't. If old friends are back under different names, please let me know who you are. Just like Letiss, the good guys will make it known who they are as they have nothing to hide. Those that do hide are only here to cause as much trouble as possible - as well as the trolling and baiting you do know they send stupid f**king pictures around trying to get people to come to their website? I been away for a bit and got back to 3 pictures in my mailbox !! It's more like a front for a pedophile ring - their leader definitely has a bit of a Rolf Harris look about him and f**k me - they rip-off everything!! Well done for outing those behaving like little kids hiding behind an anonymous identity. They cause s**t here just so they can say this don't happen on our site - it wouldn't happen here either if they and their other cohorts would just f**k off.
Hello. I'm not sure how much of your post was directed at me, since you quoted my post and so seemed to be replying to me. I haven't "outed" anybody. I have no knowledge of what you are referring to. Have had no communications like the ones you describe. I was merely reaching out to people who I may know and like, but may not recognise their new user names. For what it's worth, I believe that there are decent people on both forums. I also believe that the sooner that people (directing this at no one in particular) on both forums stop being unpleasant about people on the other, the better.

Kunstrasen show, by met on Jul 14, 2015 19:32:42 GMT 1, My goodness that sold out first. Can anyone explain the image to me please, i'm interested in someone else's interpretation. Not sure how much assistance I can offer here.
I'm familiar with the source photograph and its context, and also a large part of the photographer's body of work. But it isn't clear to me what the recontextualised image represents when combined with Snow White.
[The work's title is also puzzling. To me, it makes about as much sense as a typical result on Google Translate.]
A 1930s Disney animated film character beside a 1960s ARVN Ranger? Curious juxtaposition of bygone, dated imagery.
Maybe it's simply meant to depict an innocent caucasian 14-year-old who's been executed by a gook? A bit like North Charleston, South Carolina, but with a shooting that gives Fox News its own turn to be outraged. Just look at that foreigner, with his cowardly eyes. If he weren't black-and-white, no doubt he'd be yellow. The bastard. One hardly dares imagine what plans he now has for such a beautiful corpse.

Stunning. I for one am stunned.
For those who are fans of this kind of thing, I recommend doing an eBay search for "DEATH NYC" โ an artist among countless whose work is comparable, and comparably special.
You should be able to find a print of Snow White with a Kalashnikov covered with Louis Vuitton logos, and one of Elizabeth II shooting Snoopy in the head.
As the famous Hawaiian detective, Inspector Harry Hoo, would say, "Amazing."
Does anyone else hear the whir of Philip Jones Griffiths, not just turning but actually spinning?

If he weren't black-and-white, no doubt he'd be yellow. The bastard. One hardly dares imagine what plans he now has for such a beautiful corpse. Ahem, is that supposed to be a racist statement there when you said he should be 'yellow'? Well, the term "yellow" was used here in two different senses:
1. The first was an allusion to "cowardly" in the immediately preceding sentence. Rather clever, I thought. Or perhaps not.
2. The second was indeed racist. Likewise with my earlier reference to "gook" (which, among other things, brings to mind the excellent Geoffrey Wright film, Romper Stomper). I personally consider "gook" to be the more offensive expression, so it surprised me a little when you focussed only on "yellow".
[As an aside, I note that my paedophile-necrophiliac innuendo has yet to bring quibblers out of the woodwork. Perhaps they will cum later; a delayed ejaculation of sorts.]
Without wishing to imply otherwise, I'm sure you caught on to the fact the entire last paragraph was a satirical construct โ suggesting an unfortunate possible interpretation for the artwork, while also being a lampoon, a deliberately caricatural portrayal of Fox News and its unspoken but often insinuated views.

I personally consider "gook" to be the more offensive expression, so it surprised me a little when you focussed only on "yellow". [As an aside, I note that my paedophile-necrophiliac innuendo has yet to bring quibblers out of the woodwork. Perhaps they will cum later; a delayed ejaculation of sorts.] Without wishing to imply otherwise, I'm sure you caught on to the fact the entire last paragraph was a satirical construct โ suggesting an unfortunate possible interpretation for the artwork, while also being a lampoon, a deliberately caricatural portrayal of Fox News and its unspoken but often insinuated views.

Kunstrasen show, by dotdot on Jul 15, 2015 9:50:08 GMT 1, Ahem, is that supposed to be a racist statement there when you said he should be 'yellow'? Well, the term "yellow" was used here in two different senses: 1. I personally consider "gook" to be the more offensive expression, so it surprised me a little when you focussed only on "yellow". indeed you've eloquently highlit two issues at least.
one the general misinterpreation that people have with satire and.. the reluctance people have to stand up and point things out when they are .. glaring in their face.
whilst..finding it easy to purchase something .. without so much as a thought as to how it may be re-intrpretted .. whether rightly or wrongly down the line.
the ease and difficulty .. is something which is present throughout (look at the "flag" in the us right now... for example) ... you'll find this therefore the "target" of other artists - quite rightly.. and those artists ? well they'd be staring you in the face
i equate the work above to some something akin from a fast food outlet - you might feel sated for a while... but the sugar wish soon wears off.
.. but then that's only - me - you'll have to make your own mind up.
