Recommend an E-cig?, by zeuscarver on Oct 4, 2015 18:19:51 GMT 1, I recently stopped by using the patch. If you cut them you can get a continuous decrease of that sweet old nic, down to 0 if that's your goal. Only first couple days suck, past that the patch removes 90%+ of cravings for me. Always a good idea to stop, as long as you want to.

Always a good idea to stop, as long as you want to. I'm not a smoker, but if you want to look at it from a scientific perspective the evidence out there still suggests that patches, gum and or Champix are more effective quitting tools than e-cigs. It's surprising for me how readily the health community has been in welcoming e-cigs, as although they are almost certainly less harmful than regular fags, there is a very poor evidence around them, and bear in mind that tobacco companies already dominate the e-cig market and they'll do everything they can to keep people hooked.

Recommend an E-cig?, by sparky999 on Oct 4, 2015 22:42:45 GMT 1, Just spend the money and get a decent vaporizer. I use the EHPRO SPD A5 but there are plenty of other good ones around. A decent one should cost around 45-65 quid but it's well worth it if you are trying to stop smoking cigs.

Recommend an E-cig?, by Coach on Oct 4, 2015 23:25:26 GMT 1, Thanks. What's the differene between an E-cig and a vaporizer? They're kinda the same thing. An e-cig is like a generic term for any electronic cigarette or vaping unit. You can get the cigarette-looking disposable e-cigs, the rechargeable/fillable e-cigs and the sonic screwdriver-looking vaping pens/units. Those ones you can purchase a wide variety of liquids (flavours/strengths) for.
Thank you

Power essentially- a good vape will give you a proper cloud and feel like you're still smoking

Rubbish ones are no good and won't help at all!
As a starter I would suggest an Eleaf istick and a naturevape mini.
Just pm me if you want more info
Definitely do it though, you won't regret it!

Recommend an E-cig?, by curiousgeorge on Oct 5, 2015 0:31:12 GMT 1, Good friends with the owners of www.vapetime.co.uk
I'd suggest getting in touch and explaining what you are looking for. They are very patient and experienced and pretty sure they won't make a sale just for sake of it.From experience of buying cheap ass stuff only to replace/upgrade it(none of which helped me stop smoking) I've found the shark vape hits the spot. Only trouble is now the liquids are so damn tasty they kinda get addictive in themselves

Recommend an E-cig?, by confused2 on Oct 5, 2015 12:43:46 GMT 1, Much like previous posters, I'd avoid any of the cheap e-cigs and invest in something that will last and satisfy your desire for a good hit on the back of your throat.
I use an Eleaf iStick 30W with a Coucil of Vapour Typhoon Tank and it does the job nicely. That'll set you back approx £60 then your liquid on top, and when compared to £9 a pack of smokes or whatever they are these days it's a descent saving on the pocket and your health.
I noticed a huge difference in my breathing and general health when I moved to electronic cigs, however, 3 years later I'm probably the poster boy for not being able to give up the vaping!
Good luck!

Thanks. So far so good. Had a ciggie this morning. And none since. As for flavour, I went with rolling tobaco as I roll(ed) my own. It's pretty rank tbh.

It's the nicotine you crave not the tobacco taste- try lemon and lime or apple pie or something like that

The flavouring is PG and mixed at 20 percent, and I use 72mg nicotine which is PG. So it depends on how much mg nicotine you would want, to how much VG can go in.
I make mine at 18mg 50/50. If you wanted more VG, I could make it 6mg for 70/30 ratio.

Recommend an E-cig?, by Matt on Oct 19, 2015 16:48:18 GMT 1, well done @coach, that's an achievement and i know what it's like !
First 2-3 days the hardest as you actually have physical cravings. after that there are no more nicotine cravings so it just becomes a mind game to control your habit !
Smoked ciggies for 10 years, and one morning went cold turkey. Never touched one since
Every time i had a craving, I just thought about the f**ckers at Global Tobacco Corp laughing at how they had won over my mind, and that was enough motivation to kick the habit altogether
