Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by Coach on Dec 16, 2015 21:37:19 GMT 1, Whoa If it was me i would be happy as is however my standards are very very low compared it seems to the majority on here, so i would possibly struggle if i ever wanted to sell it, so more fool me i suppose for keeping it as is
Perhaps I'm being too fussy (or would be if it were mine). I was referring to damo's post, at the top of this page. I honestly think that if someone is spending a couple of hundred quid, or thereabouts, it should arrive without any damage. Nothing to do with resale. Just for my own enjoyment. But I respect your alternative view bren. Always.

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by Inknart on Dec 16, 2015 21:58:01 GMT 1, For everyone saying those corners are tiny and fixable. I had a print recently restored with a very similar issue and to have it done properly cost me $175. Why should a buyer have to suffer and not be able to float a picture if it's damaged from the Gallery? It's not. It looked beautiful floated and i'm not even a fan of floating my prints because they do tend to get a little wavy sometimes, but regardless the consumer should not be the one making those decisions based on the quality of an item that should be new and mint. You got ripped off, you could of done it for free yourself. Only way I'm paying 175 is for highly valuable print. The said you could be refunded if not happy, send it back if you can't live with the damage, or fix it They were Banksy prints. Went to poster mountain up north. Did a great job.
The size of this print though would cost around the same to properly fix if theres a decent crease in a corner it you want to float it.
At the price they asked it should be Mint.

Wrong again! Don't waste your money getting this framed. Nothing mint about this. Your finger does NOTHING for this and flattening it out will not help either. If the print is not mint, its a refund or a new one. Only hurts your pockets in the future if you take this guys advice. It was not advice from this 'guy'. There are no new ones so there you go. Deal with it, framing it will cover it anyway. The paper does not look that thick so float mounting probably not advisable at this size anyway unless its stuck to a foam board core. Dont see why it would hurt your pockets unless it was bought to resell. It's a thick stock and perfectly viable to float. I bought it for my wall...not to stay in a portfolio or to resell any time soon. I'm perfectly old enough to be able to 'deal with it' if I want to...

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by Cornish Crayon on Dec 16, 2015 22:03:21 GMT 1, Looks like it can be spooned out with a little force and work. ย I'm not one to accept damage prints, but that is tiny and fixable. ย Easily framed out if you are hanging it, if not sell it to me for cost if you are happy. ย ย Exactly. Just to give a little 'perspective' in both senses. Here is a 5p piece next to the same damage. Your talking an 1/8 th of a 5p. Its nothing
I only ask FR as you said you didn't buy one yet you are now making claim you have a similar corner with a five pence coin.........
Did you buy one then ?

Thought it was a bit strange that you held onto a five pence coin for two years
Who's photo is it then ?

ANY damage on a new print is totally unacceptable no matter how minor! This could end up being a costly mistake for them....

Problem with just carrying ยฃ1 or above is that you will inevitably always end up with more change anyway after buying something.

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by docean on Dec 17, 2015 6:51:42 GMT 1, I haven't got my Peace Gun yet (I'm in Miami) but after reading all of this I'm pretty nervous.
I planned on floating it so I'm really hoping there's no damage. I can't fathom what the issue is with rolling it to ship...how is this any better? I've never had any issues with a rolled print and I even emailed them asking them to ship mine that way. Turns out they were already packaged so they said no, but worth a shot.
Telling people to trim it is bad taste if you ask me.

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by markent on Dec 17, 2015 12:36:16 GMT 1, rjf76 sorry to hear this and I think you have had a bad experience with this picture and I don't think you will ever truly be satisfied with it no matter what, a real shame when this happens to something that you're looking forward to. If I was you I would put it on here at cost rather than send it back and get a refund as some members don't seem worried about the creases.

Yes agree, but I thought they had just said they would do a refund, so not much to deal with

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by thewral on Dec 17, 2015 22:37:40 GMT 1, Just got mine delivered today - shipped across the pond.
Some minor waves on one side, and three minute dents across the edges.
Disappointed to say the least, but this one will be framed anyways.

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by Inknart on Dec 19, 2015 0:11:15 GMT 1, Just unwrapped mine. Looks okay, small crease towards bottom.
When you look at it in the light it appears to be bent, but upon closer inspection you can see that there is a White border surrounding the image. You can see the outline of where the image was pressed on the top and both sides. Going to have mine done with a matting as it will look tacky floated with the color contrast.
Make sure you look at the image in good light before floating.

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by Inknart on Dec 19, 2015 0:41:04 GMT 1, Here is a picture of mine. The actual image is smaller than the paper they put it on.
You can see the border and color difference on the sides and top.
I'm guessing a lot of the wrinkles are due to the fact that it was pressed just where the image itself is since it's smaller than the paper it was put on.
It looked creased up one side on mine and it is in fact raised where it wasn't pressed. When I finally caught it in the light I could easily see where the image was pressed and the white border around the image.
Shame as I wanted to float this.

I'll have to check mine again, but I didn't notice any discoloration/border around the image. Mine was definitely not wavy though like some of these.
