Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by Art Fan 2011 on Dec 16, 2015 19:16:58 GMT 1, Poor website, even worse release and now damaged prints, all round poor job!! That's 2 damaged prints now (just on here), none of you are being OCD, if you buy anything from new you expect it to be in as new/perfect condition, neither of your prints are so send them back for replacements or refunds. Bit cheeky to tell you that you should get it trimmed too!!

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by Nick on Dec 16, 2015 19:17:13 GMT 1, Mine was very securely packed but had this damage to the top corner. Must have been pre packaging damage. Feel like I'm being a little bit OCD (it is a tiny crease), or is it reasonable to be a little annoyed? I've been in contact and they suggest i get it trimmed as it does have a fat border. Its the gun that no one (but me) liked, so not expecting value to rise (i don't think its even sold out) but I wanted it framed with whole print on show. It wasn't a cheap print so I'm a little reluctant to just take it on the chin tbh? Am i being a bit of a tit? Poor form of them to suggest you trim it. I would 100% make them replace it or take it back. It's the galleries responsibility to get it to you in mint condition, don't accept anything else.. Sometimes they will have no replacements and you need to decide between keeping the damaged print and getting a refund. In this case it has not sold out so you are well within your right to be asking for another copy.

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by damo on Dec 16, 2015 19:19:25 GMT 1, Okay thanks all, greatly appreciated. I will pick it up with them tomorrow. Eve, on email, did offer a refund so i'm not knocking them too much but I actually really like the print, i wasn't looking to get the money back i just wanted a mint one. Im feeling less unreasonable now though (it has been bothering me all day) so i suspect I will go back and see if i can swap it.

Very apologetic as they actually got separate company to pack!! It's either get full refund or try and flatten/straighten/tease out....not sure what to do as don't want to give print up! You could try and get it repaired by someone who knows what they are doing, but depends how bad it is, any pics you could share? Beats me why a gallery such as SS would spend money outsourcing shipping to another company - they clearly made a mistake in doing so!! Wonder how many more unhappy customers are out there after getting there prints today?!

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by student42 on Dec 16, 2015 19:46:06 GMT 1, I am looking forward to this print, but I am nervous now. I hope these make it to the US undamaged.
Why would they not produce extras with the damage problems they have had in the past? These probably only cost them $20 to manufacture so the cost of printing a few extras would be minimal compared to the markup of the product. I hope they find a way to compensate those of you affected besides returning the print for a full refund.
If I am paying a premium price for a print I expect a premium product. I might let it slide for a $40 print but certainly not a $600 one I plan to float.

I was worried about the waves based on the picture they had shown on the site during the sale. You can clearly see waves in the print, especially across the woman's hair.
I hope it flattens out for you hippychick

Feel bad for those who have issues with their print, for the price they should be nothing but mint condition.

You aren't being a tit. That's a damaged print from a gallery. Trimming it may remove the crease, but then you've got a trimmed print. It should be replaced by the gallery.

Deal with it, framing it will cover it anyway. The paper does not look that thick so float mounting probably not advisable at this size anyway unless its stuck to a foam board core. Dont see why it would hurt your pockets unless it was bought to resell.

Two new D*Face's en route to StolenSpace, by bone on Dec 16, 2015 21:01:41 GMT 1, Looks like it can be spooned out with a little force and work. I'm not one to accept damage prints, but that is tiny and fixable. Easily framed out if you are hanging it, if not sell it to me for cost if you are happy.

For everyone saying those corners are tiny and fixable.
I had a print recently restored with a very similar issue and to have it done properly cost me $175.
Why should a buyer have to suffer and not be able to float a picture if it's damaged from the Gallery?
It's not.
It looked beautiful floated and i'm not even a fan of floating my prints because they do tend to get a little wavy sometimes, but regardless the consumer should not be the one making those decisions based on the quality of an item that should be new and mint.

Just to give a little 'perspective' in both senses. Here is a 5p piece next to the same damage.
Your talking an 1/8 th of a 5p. Its nothing

You got ripped off, you could of done it for free yourself. Only way I'm paying 175 is for highly valuable print. The said you could be refunded if not happy, send it back if you can't live with the damage, or fix it
Looks like it can be spooned out with a little force and work. I'm not one to accept damage prints, but that is tiny and fixable. Easily framed out if you are hanging it, if not sell it to me for cost if you are happy. For everyone saying those corners are tiny and fixable.
