bit of a weird thing to be thinking about though. I get what your saying, but at the same time, the world has moved on so there are more important issues to worry about. Some sociologist can write a paper on that. 

What matters now is that we get seriously backing renewable energy and put stupidly dangerous ideas like fracking and nuclear out of our heads for good. Not only for the benefits to the planet but the benefits it would give us as individuals. Renewables are working in a direction where cheap to almost free power is available to the masses. That would make a huge difference to living standards alone, but of  course, that doesnt appeal to those who profit from energy, they would rather see people freeze to death or chose power and heat or food than see free energy. 

Back a better future rather than a more profitable one. 

These politicians play a master game of manipulation so that absolutely every single thing in the whole wide world ends in them making more money for the rich, themselves and their tax avoiding cronies.
Too many cars? = congestion tax, now we simply have the same cars going into London but more money for the RICH.
Too many carrier bags = simply offer MORE bags and charge people for them, no more free bags but more money for us rich C Nuts.
Speed cameras, astronomical rents, rocketing food prices, insane inflation on EVERYthing, phones becoming the £400 spy micro chip in your pocket, (and No I don't have one) thank you... parking charges, road tax, council tax, inheritance tax, death tax, death, the end.
Usually this would end with loads of swearing about the toffs.

... no wind turbines that dont work if it is not windy, kill migrating birds and are a blot on the land/sea scape ...

... no tidal flow - that stop boats and ships entering ports, disrupt the shoreline eco-system and stop fish entering their breeding grounds ...

... nuclear - it's the way forward ... I'm telling you 🙏 👍

Are you saying that you would be OK driving your car at 60 miles per hour on a road you have never been on before in thick fog where visibilty is limited late at night in winter because the probability of having an accident is there but never mined accidents do happen so drive fast and carry on?
