Donald Trump, by tartarus on Jun 1, 2017 22:05:37 GMT 1, he actually pulled out of it!! i had a feeling he was going to bow to pressure there! Dam what an idiot he is. He has. America stands opposed. With not many other countries. think the news said that now makes 3 countries not involved. Syria was one, the US now, and i think the other was montenegro or something!

Donald Trump, by tartarus on Jun 1, 2017 22:17:16 GMT 1, i think that video may have been produced with an agenda! Safe fracking huh! I dont think so. nor does the evidence seen across the US.
As for the Paris Agreement, it was set up as a platform for future efforts. Getting the countries to agree to be part of ot was a huge step forward. As it stands they think it will help reduce levels by one percent (not sure if thats predicted or current levels). But it was always the intention to get agreements on further reductions as time goes by.
That figure is pretty big, dont know how true it is, but it gets a lot smaller when you divide it by 173 countries, it also becomes a bit irrelevant when you consider how we function without air or clean water.

Donald Trump, by Deleted on Jun 1, 2017 23:36:29 GMT 1, Well done. Found a video on the Internet that expresses a view that suits. What a suprise. As opposed to you who is actively searching for and posting videos of views that are not your own? I don't really get your point. I think we, as a species, need to take our planet seriously but 'change' is not going to come from a vague diplomatic deal that costs a lot and achieves very little. It's going to come from private companies that invest in alternative, cleaner sources of energy, like Tesla (or to be more precise, SolarCity).

It's going to come from private companies that invest in alternative, cleaner sources of energy, like Tesla (or to be more precise, SolarCity). Great call on Tesla. I wonder what Elon Musk would have done in Trump's shoes....
"Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has quit two of President Trump's business advisory councils after the president announced he will pull the U.S. out of the historic Paris climate agreement. "Am departing presidential councils. Climate change is real. Leaving Paris is not good for America or the world," Musk said Thursday on Twitter, shortly after the president announced from the Rose Garden that he would begin the process of leaving the accord."
Here is another little company that invests in alternative, cleaner sources of energy....Wonder what they think...
"Tim Cook, who is on a mission to make Apple the greenest tech company in the world, placed the phone call to the White House on Tuesday, according to a Bloomberg source that is reportedly familiar with the matter. Tim Cook reportedly urged Trump not to withdraw US from Paris climate deal Apple happens to be one of the greenest megacorporations in the world. It powers its data centres with 100% renewable energy sources and its facilities worldwide with 96% renewables."
At the end of the day any real change is about creating a movement or to have individual actions create a "ripple in the pond" so to speak. That is the bigger picture of the climate deal. It ALL matters actually.

My apologies if you felt that I berated you. I accept that my post was inelegant. My point was that whatever political, social, economic (etc) position one person might take it is always possible to find something on the internet that contradicts that position. As such, some commentary on why you hold a particular position is preferable to posting a video alone.

Donald Trump, by tartarus on Jun 2, 2017 14:28:22 GMT 1, 0.3 degrees rise in temperature by the end of the century.. People will be more worried about AI in years to come - a lot sooner than the end of the century , not climate change.. everyone has seen the films, AI will be easy to control. Unlike nature should we push our luck with its balances. once we push it too far, it will not be fixable. It takes a long time for the damage to show, and if it goes too far we wont be able to turn it round again for hundreds of years if we can find a way to survive. And that wont have much to do with the money in your pocket thats for dam sure.
That said, America pays a pretty high price already when it comes to being battered by the elements. So they are probably pretty well placed to be first to feel the consequences. So either the Trump wakes up, the people wake up, or perhaps they wont, and they will not wake up under a sheet of ice one day.
Make america Grate Again.

Agree.. and there will probably be nuclear wars over food shortages before then also.. and also I'm not a fan of his but rightly or wrongly trump is sticking to what he promised his supporters.

Donald Trump, by Deleted on Jun 3, 2017 13:51:53 GMT 1, Trump's an easy target of left wing hate and some of those lefties are more like fascists than socialists. Backed by violence too in some cases.
The whole climate agreement deal was a fraud from the beginning.
Of course there is climate change, f**kme the climate has been changing for thousands of years. Ever heard of the ice age and for the fantasy minded the great flood was caused by climate change too.
The Paris agreement a fraud and just moving jobs and production from the west to China, India etc whilst at the same time taxing western companies who competed with China and India etc. With their sweat shop and child labour. Who benefitted, just look at those greedy politicians lining up to fill heir pockets with foreign cash.
I'm amazed Labour and Democrat supporters bought into it as it was all about destroying the working class and jobs too.
Jobs Steve the son of Syrian migrants according to the media who was not the son of Syrian migrants as his mother was American, he was born in the US and his father was not a migrant but a traveller to the US who was a crook too. Jobs happy for Apple to have their over priced gadgets made in China with cheap labour where workers rights are ignored and wages far lower than having the Apple gadgets produced in the US.
All the Paris deal did was move pollution to China and India etc. there is just as much pollution as before because of our consumerist nature but it's hidden in China and India. The whole thing is a scam.
Trump is looking after American workers and creating jobs opening coal mines in teh US is a good thing and ever wondered why the US and us needs Saudi oil. We don't but it's all linked to the arms trade.
I assume that there is no one in the UK who would welcome for UK mines to be re opened and creation of jobs for coal miners, rather than import foreign coal. There again that would be against the Paris agreement.
Trump is an easy target for left wing hate and considering how the left behave, if ever there is a global left wing government, it will make free speech illegal and make 1984 look like utopia.
We all know what drives the left.
In her bubble, Kathy Griffin thought nothing was out of bounds in mocking Trump

The Paris agreement a fraud and just moving jobs and production from the west to China, India etc whilst at the same time taxing western companies who competed with CHina and India etc. With their sweat shop and child labour. Who benefitted, just look at those greedy politicians lining up to fill heir pockets with foreign cash.
I'm amazed Labour and Democrat supporteres bought into it as it was all about destroying the working class and jobs too.
Jobs Steve the son of Syrian migrants according to the media who was not the son of Syrian migrants as his mother was American, he was born in the US and his father was not a migrant but a traveller to the US who was a crook too. Jobs happy for Apple to have their over priced gadgets mad ein China with cheap labour where workers rights are ignored and wages far lower than having the Apple gadgets produce din the US.
All the Paris deal did was move pollution to China and India etc. there is just a smuch pollution as before because of our consumerist nature but it's hidden in China and India.

Trump's an easy target of left wing hate and some of those lefties are more like fascists than socialists. Backed by violence too in some cases.

Donald Trump, by Daniel Silk on Jun 3, 2017 14:10:53 GMT 1, That's an interesting point about British coal mines. I wonder what all the political parties would say to the idea of reopening coal mines for coal power stations? It would involve thousands of jobs, mostly likely labour voters? I wonder what the Unions view on climate change is?

I wonder what the Unions view on climate change is? Cant imagine they would support more coal. But i guess they might be up for creating lots of jobs with a properly funded and supported renewable energy programme. Like the ones the tories ripped the heart out of when they removed the solar feed in tariffs.
