People are living in tents, with a lot promiscuity, no sleep, tired and obsessed to pass in UK, but Uk does not want to, at 6000 now , or less, or more, they come from a country where there is war, they saw the death, they cross the death, European Eldorado is not what they were expected for ... Etc etc .. They, we call it jungle , and I don't like this word.
I will tell you ( I know it is not easy for Calais people too and some here and Banksy should thank Calais too, to don't make chase hunter or a civil war, their town and life won't be anymore the same, not because of refugees or strangers, but because it is not easy to pass from a small town ( with a lot of unemployed people and crisis too ) with 6000 gents more ! They try to help and give caravans etc.. Well , what I want to mean is that ( even in a quiet town in France or Uk it will be the same ) it is not because a minority - and we can understand - makes the mess, that we must accuse all a population or refugees ( the same for Cologne , how many are they, how many made exactions ? ) .. In " quiet " towns, in Europe, or everywhere in the modern Civilization , there is also crimes since ages : don't need to be a refugee to do what only humans are able to : the worth sometimes and the best too. Homo Homini Lupus...

I'm somewhat confused, are you saying this is a good thing or a bad thing? I understand there's a similar feeling in northern Europe. I have a friend who is Egyptian though he is Muslim and has a summer condo in Sweden and he is almost afraid to go to his condo. He lives in the US.

 I'm not a sheep Royston and I think for myself and don't worry about team Banksy and what they think.
It's a business after all.

My comments are my opinion .

 I noticed all the feminists and lefties on the forum avoided my comment about the women raped and assaulted by migrants in Cologne on new years eve. Plus the women assaulted in Sweden Norway and other countries which made a massive increase to those countries annual rape figures.

 So just to put things in context. If it's OK for Banksy to tell us that the migrants in Calais could be sme people like Steve Jobs or international football stars or rocket scientists. Thats fine by me as long as it's OK to say that we need to be aware that some of the migrants who want to come to the UK might not have our interests and cultural values at heart.

 Thats reality i'm afraid.

  It's easy to believe the "no borders" anarchist extreme left rhetoric without knowing exactly what these people stand for.

   Of course Banksy just makes art and his politics are his business and as far as I know we still have freedom of speech in Europe.

 I would also hope an art forum that promotes dangerous street art and the fuck the system message whilst encouraging hype and flipping and sales does not suffer from the knee jerk reaction when someone does have an opinion.

  Looking at both side sof the argument one has to see the situation of the migrants and also the situation of the Calais residents who are too scared to go out at night.

 The far left anarchist agent provocateurs want no borders and not surprised because they are after all anarchists who are the first to smash and destroy and disrupt peaceful demonstrations.

  The logic that migrants are people who want to improve their lives, meaning being better off. I can understand.

   I'm all for migrants who are honest, and respect people and the cultural values democracy of a country and treat women as equals.

    Genuine refugees shoudl always be given shelter and security away from wherever they come from where they are in danger.

 Children should not be living in the Calais jungle and the French government should be ashamed of themselves for leaving them in the jungle and playing chess with the UK and a game of atrition waiting for the UK to say they will accept the migrants.

  When the migrants get to the UK, most being fit young men. With skills whether intellectual or craftsmen.

My point is this.

 Why should they be given free housing and money when the rest of us have to work and pay rent.

 They should be treated equally as we are and told OK you are here now, get a job and find somewhere to rent like everybody else.

   and realise the streets of the UK are not paved with gold.
