I'm not for one moment thinking that someone is going to offer up a Girl with a Balloon for £5,000, but there are several prints that it's feasible to imagine being sold at around that price, taking in things like condition or wish for a quick transaction.

I wish you the best of luck in your search - I remember buying my first signed Banksy print - white Nola for a little over your offer price.
If I may though, I'd suggest a mint u/s print, rather than a damaged signed, the average Banksy buyer is very fickle & wants everything to be "mint" "mint" "mint". A nice placard rat would fit the bill, small edition as well.

I don't know which particular work you had in mind, if any; but with £5k to play with, if it's simply for aesthetic reasons, I'd say go the unsigned route and you'll have some change from your £5k perhaps not as much as you'd like. Alternatively, get saving! However, once you get it on the wall, whatever it be, you'll be yearning for another ... Good luck with the quest and keep us all posted - you might provide a beacon of light where some think there is none

Do yourself a good turn and buy Sport1's u/s Bomb Hugger and still have £500 minus postage left over. It'll save u some pain unless your rate of saving outpaces the rate of Banksy print price increase.
I bought Bomb Hugger from Pidge last summer for £4750 so £4500 represents a decent price at this time.

Seeing that it was started 15 hours ago, you're going to need a lot of luck. Maybe you can find a heavily damaged one and get it restored...
