I agree. I like the colors, and the toys looks way cool...but I see nothing beyond that.
I am happy to know I am not alone.
My banker is happy that I don't like Kaws.

to me, Kaws is constantly knocking advertisements and other things that are in your face. it's uncomfortable, and it makes you think.

I saw Peter Blake have to say the same thing to someone at a signing a few years ago (a small girl who'd made a collage or painting!).

There are lesser known street artists in Toronto that I have pieces from, but I can certainly see how they'd be less appealing to people who didn't grow up around them.
