Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by monstris on Dec 3, 2007 20:45:51 GMT 1, To put to bed any speculation or question, this year's Santa's Ghetto is at 1 Manger Square, Bethlehem from 11am to 7pm until 24 December.
Manger Square is bang in the middle of Bethlehem. You can't miss it.
Oh...and it's in an abandoned fast food restaurant.

the materialistic crap quote didn't come from me, I was quoting someone else......who said that my head was up my arse spouting materialistic crap..... but of all the material things I own, art is most precious to me....crap? some it if is, yes. the point I was trying to make, is that I don't think that it's awfully fair to criticise someone on this forum for being "materialistic", when a big part of this forum has to do with buying/selling/swapping "things". That's all. And to pretend that someone is an art purist, that he/she doesn't need or want the materialistic nicities of life, is foolish and stupid. We all want the prints, and we all want money, and even though good is going to come out of SG (this year), doesn't mean it's not still one raging business machine that is selling you a "lifestyle" instead of a way of life.

Safari's cache is a pain in the arse, especially when your developing websites... even 'empty cache' sometimes doesn't do what it's supposed to. anyway, you can delete cache by hand, just go to user/library/safari/icons and delete all content.
or use firefox.. much better in my opinion (when cache is set to 0kb)

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by rolyateel on Dec 3, 2007 21:20:10 GMT 1, I haven't negged you either (I've never negged any1)..I just love the debate! And I think that we're agreeing with the same things we're arguing about....I know and agree that a lot of good will come out of this, but the cynic in me just sees a bunch of rich guys (or more likely just a couple of rich guys) doing their "good deed" for the year to make themselves feel better about their inflated, unbelievable lives....and yes, I do want prints, I want art, and I want as much as I can get.....I love my "things", until I fall out of love with them, then I want new things.......just the way it is,,,,but I see what you're saying about all of this having a real meaning, but for someone like me (who is admittedly a little greedy, selfish, and who is definitely obsessive) I just want to know which print I can get...... +1 for the debate..I was really bored at work today, so thank you
ok, buy me a beer at the roundhouse on the 26th and we'll call it quits

I did not create this greedy little materialistic world...I'm just not pretending it doesn't exist, or pretending that it's avoidable. Everyone is soooo careful about what they say on this forum, so afraid ofa neg. point, that a lot of people aren't saying what's on their mind, they're saying what they think is on other people's mind, and hoping that they agree.......who cares! this is a forum about art (street art none-the-less)...and either you tow the forum line and say something in the middle that offends nobody and stimulates little-to-no conversation or you speak your mind (crazy or not) and people neg you behind your back for having something to say, whether it's "warranted" or not........
and ps...who decides what's warranted?

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by numusic on Dec 3, 2007 21:48:44 GMT 1, God, something new from Banksy (on paper) shouldn't be toooo much to ask....Reward the people who are going to make the journey to the Ghetto this year with something that's not just rare because it's covered in gold ink, but because it's an image that hasn't already been plastered around for 14 months or more......I wouldn't sneeze at either the Gold Flags or the cheap paper Trolleys, but I would be slightly disappointed to get all the way there and find those two prints, at those prices, as my reward
This got you negged..and rightly so..
