Just my views and I no way am I being disrespectful to any members here, but I would buy off eBay every time over this forum. The level of protection is far superior, there's no 'pay using gift' and there's a description on a recognisable site that's easy for anyone to look at if a dispute does occur. Also I find eBay to be cheaper than the forum for a lot of artists if you have the patience to wait for an auction rather than BIN.

Zedsy ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art โข New Print Release , by Lroy on Jul 31, 2016 9:08:16 GMT 1, Lol ! Zedsy is a joke ! A real Joke ! All was Sold out out anyway for the friends and fans ! I know how it works ... We are not far from swindles ... All this because of a White Snow at Dismaland ! Be serious guys ! How could you buy this after a Paco Pomet ?!i prefer hundred times what done my friend John Doe : he paints walls HIM ! Wow, what was that all about Lroy? Why such hate for the zedster when you plugged the Lucy Sparrow, Nick Smith, and Floch soup can releases - I think strictly for visual aesthetics, I don't think that those images work as well as Zedman's. And conceptually, I don't think that the pantone version of a soup can really says anything nor do the others soup versions that you mentioned. Yes I understand what you mean. Maybe all the hype from the first day of the thread/print ( as said .. 6 pages now ), to see that at the end, in a second ( as for an Invader or Pejac per example - that were all sold out ( why 180 and not 50, or why not 200 : preorders in pm ? and I hope that people won't say that it is wrong; I have profited of this system for bigger artists, sometimes ) have been a little irritated at the end - I dont care in fact, I found this print funny apart the paper and the printing itself, just had a smile because the idea, as a teen.
No I am not a hater but my words could be a bit strong sometimes as my English vocabulary is poor/weak.
I have nothing against Zedsy, the person himself, who is I am sure a nice guy, but of the hyping system because of Dismaland : people are tender and kind with these prints ( I never like per example the " Apple " one ), because of Banksy/Dismaland ( at 15 pouds it was ok , but at 50 quids and sold out in seconds, it could leave people a bit dubitative about this sale : fake ? joke ? etc... ) .
How to compare ( I read that up ) this print to a Stik per example : Stik has talent, his painting itself is great and almost all (at the contrary of Zedsy, He does not use only photoshop and " an idea, He works hard and paints on walls. a lot of walls ).
Pepper Sprays, per example, makes prints better with great artits, in silence, without the Dismaland noisy hype and " profit " kind " I woz there " - with the Dismaland stamp on it : Banksy authorisation ? ).
I put the pictures of Lucy S., Crab cans etc.. ( and many more , even If I am not too much Warhol - street-artists should forget a bit Disney, Warhol or Kate Moss lol , there is some more pictures to do with our world and disasters, events or politics, more rebels minds to paint ) , because I think that they are very talentous, and more researched, as the artists put their own style on them. ( I can recognize a color by Floch from miles ).
I like "parody" too, because I am the king of comedy - Rosysotn entertainer and for my real friend Dappy ;-)
Next print to come ( in the kind of ) :

Zedsy ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art โข New Print Release , by phischa on Jul 31, 2016 10:53:52 GMT 1, I see lots of Banksy fakes on eBay, yours seem to be good quality though. Would you mind to add information about these copies? You've mentioned edition size and stamps - I'm wondering if ithey're kind of special?! Thank you! As the rat catcher states - they are from west county prince. Not really sure what I can add but bought them from him a few years back with the intention of putting them up In the boys room. They are numbered editions, he started doing them as such and has since started doing Open editions Print Quality seems fine and they've been well looked after
Thank you for your reply. Haven't heart about them but wil check it out.

Zedsy ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art โข New Print Release , by met on Aug 1, 2016 2:41:28 GMT 1, As long as the conversations don't degenerate into typical Comment Section drivel, I'm all for opposing opinions. What's the point of a discussion, if it's all niceties - we might as well just talk about how nice the weather is today. Agree 100%. It never ceases to amaze me how many regularly some how equate the dislike or criticism of some work as "negativity", while on the flip side praising it to the heavens is always encouraged. In general I think this mindset keeps many away from criticizing anything at all and they do heed Ottomatik's mother's rule and just stay quiet unless they like something. Boards are for a discussion of all sides but do understand there are some who just to not posses the disposition to accept views contrary to theirs and genuinely take offense to it. [...] Nicely put.
Forum members who proselytise a regressive and sinister "positive comments only" approach undermine the very purpose of a message board, along with its key benefit: the free exchange of ideas and opinions.
The ones to hold accountable aren't just those with mind-forg'd manacles (respectful nod to Blake) taking offence to views contrary to their own. Or those wishing to impose a happy-clappy or Stepford Wives-like culture. In certain cases, open expression of alternative views โ and honest discussion generally โ may be discouraged, even shouted down, because it conflicts with vested interests.
The possible motivations of members are always worth keeping in mind, including when they remain silent.

Zedsy ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art โข New Print Release , by met on Aug 1, 2016 2:55:13 GMT 1, Art that creates discussion and debate is good art, prefer that to 'I like the image' It depends on the discussion or debate.
Someone with a flatulence problem who farts uncontrollably in a crowded elevator may be tempted to dress up the episode and pass it off as a performance piece.
With great conviction they could assert, "I am an artist because I make art. And what I make is art because, as an artist, I declare it so." They might quote Brecht (or Mayakovsky?) about art not being a mirror but a hammer. They could claim their elevator piece symbolised, say, individual rejection of the application of traditional game theory to behavioural relations.
All of this also has potential to create "discussion and debate". But that in itself doesn't make it good art.

Zedsy ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art โข New Print Release , by met on Aug 1, 2016 3:16:33 GMT 1, Given that Zedsy's soup can is not an original idea, does this therefore really render it worthless, or lacking in artistic integrity? If so, then where does this leave the work of artists such as Hirst or Turk, and those that use Disney and Star Wars characters, or geometrical op art stuff? I initially liked the Zedsy print in a superficial way, colorful, well executed, and humorous, but it has also, at least for me, raised a heightened awareness, of what I perceive as a double standard. Given the rise in food banks, food waste, the ever rising cost of living, a lack in pay raises, austerity and so forth, I think that Zedsy's take, although not original, is never the less, a timely one. Zedsy's image is as relevant now, as Banksy's was then. Do people even think about Banksy's work these days, or has it become purely about having, rather than being? Its an honest question, if a cynical one. The fact that it is so obviously not original, makes it all the more thought provoking. Why has the artist produced this, what is this communicating, what does this mirror or reflect, if anything? I'm not irritated, I'm curious.
I find it difficult to believe that someone would be naive enough to do this, without realizing it would get slated. I struggle to believe that this has been so well produced, just purely to be associated with Banksy, or even out of desperation or stupidity. It would certainly be very sad, should that ever prove to be the case.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, and prepared to give this piece and Zedsy the benefit of the doubt, but for me this piece has started to talk, and that's a very personal thing. Please note, that I wont be buying one, as I will be completely devoid of technology, when it drops, due to being in a particular location. If I were to buy one, it would be because I believe that it has more worth than a purely monetary value. Art is thankfully a broad church, and I wish all the very best to those who are't trying to hype, and wont be buying just to flip. Those who truly appreciate something, for what it means/says to them, the contemplation and thought it provokes. Good luck. Good post and enjoyable read.
It's entirely fair to raise these questions when looking at the print in isolation. But one can also consider it within the context of:
(i) earlier rehashed or cheesy works produced by Zedsy; (ii) the circumstances in which his first print was released (i.e. an apparent desperation to be associated with Dismaland); (iii) the copycat museum stunt; (iv) the parasitic signature style; and (v) the ripoff logo design.
From this broader perspective, it would not be unreasonable to conclude Zedsy is just one of many coattail-riders trying unsuccessfully to emulate their heroes.
samfrost summed it up well here with his description of "me too" art.

De gustibus non est disputandum...
I find people's critique of art fascinating. Saying it is unoriginal - such a funny thing to comment on ... I do not believe Warhol invented the design of the Campbell soup can, nor Banksy the Tesco can, nor did Rembrandt invent the people he painted in the Night Watch.
The fact that Daniel David didn't invent the mitsubishi logo doesn't detract from this as a piece of art.
Given that Zedsy's soup can is not an original idea, does this therefore really render it worthless, or lacking in artistic integrity? De gustibus non est disputandum... I find people's critique of art fascinating. Saying it is unoriginal - such a funny thing to comment on ... I do not believe Warhol invented the design of the Campbell soup can, nor Banksy the Tesco can, nor did Rembrandt invent the people he painted in the Night Watch. The fact that Daniel David didn't invent the mitsubishi logo doesn't detract from this as a piece of art.

Zedsy ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art โข New Print Release , by WOOF on Aug 1, 2016 17:35:44 GMT 1, Good post and enjoyable read. It's entirely fair to raise these questions when looking at the print in isolation. The logo doesn't detract. The lack of the originality in the concept detracts.
Also, just to be clear, I don't know who came up with the idea first.
Edit: Forgot these.

Daniel has been making his since the 90s and they are beautifully hand crafted. The Zeus ones don't even compare in quality.

Zedsy ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art โข New Print Release , by 11 on Aug 2, 2016 14:18:48 GMT 1, Many thanks for the references guys - cheques are in the post
Apologies to everyone for he radio silence, I've had quite a bit on.
Zacharevic pigeons (pic yet to be posted) I'm looking at around ยฃ1250 which seems to be the going rate for the style wars 1/1's and that's for images I consider inferior to mine so believe it's fair.
