If one had no interest in Pejac's pieces personally, I assume they would just read the posts and move on. I also assume people who missed out on the boat and want to get sellers to lower their prices will bad mouth the art.
But I do agree that the NYC show (6 feet under) did not get much hype outside of UAA and Hypebeast (and I am one of the people who flew up to be there on the opening VIP night).

You get these monster results on some and then on others you’re barely selling for cost (eg Desprestigio, New Wave). I think there is strong interest in buying Pejac but the prices are having an identity crisis which cause both the positive and negative hype to go to their respective extremes.
