Taking into account the latest Pejac sales as well as other factors inc. more historic sales. For you, this obviously is about maximising your profit margin, which is quite normal. Your pricing is way off. For your benefit, I suggest you take caution because the market can go down as much as it can go up. If anything, the indicators are that Pejac (like many but not all artists) are in a downturn. Thank you for your input. As I said, the last auction result was ยฃ14400 and that was only a year ago. I know that other prints by Pejac have sold less well or not at all, but there is no other comparable result for 'Wound SE' at the moment, as the other two popular prints by Pejac (Meadow SE and Sepukku SE) have not been offered for sale recently either. I know that ยฃ14400 is a collector's price, but the print is a collector's item for me too. I also know that prices are generally falling. That's why there aren't many good items on offer from Pejac at the moment. My ยฃ12000 pounds is therefore my basis for negotiation. I'm willing to go a step further if the buyer is also an enthusiast, but I would never sell it as low as you recommended. It's not about getting the maximum out of it, as you wrote. The print is simply worth more to me and I'd rather keep it than give it away at a price that doesn't match my expectations. I'll leave my offer for a few more weeks, but if nothing comes of a sale, then so be it and I'll enjoy it for years to come.

By 'trashy knowledge' I meant knowledge about the Indian actress in connection with Pejac. And the 'Meadow' print you mentioned was from the regular edition. I always talked about the special edition (hand-finished) of 'Meadow'. That's a huge difference in price. I compared your HF to other similar HF editions, not Meadow.

I have a great plan chest for my unframed prints, so it works well. I can imagine you, every now and then unscrewing the screw, taking your print out of its box, putting it on the floor, enjoying it, loving it!

The print is currently in an archival polyester clear sleeve in my plan chest. So I can look at it every day without any effort if I want to. Unfortunately, I have neither the space nor the money to frame and hang up every print. |

I consider HF Forest and HF Yin Yang above Wound. I donโt think the Wound image is that strong and much prefer his other works, and as such would pay higher. Itโs all relative to the demand and the people bidding during any particular auction. You canโt say โHF Wound is not comparable in priceโ as a fact. Iโve seen HF Forests go higher than HF Wounds. Itโs all personal preference. All three are strong images and Wound isnโt by any means his โbestโ image or even close IMO. In fact, if you surveyed pejac fans, I doubt Wound would be in the top 2 maybe even 3. Iโm happy to run this survey too (in the Pejac group) and prove my point. Overall, youโre asking way too much dude. I doubt this even gets $10k at auction. Itโs a down market friend. Better to hold. |

It's a matter of taste of course and I know you don't like Wound that much (from the Facebook group) :-) Maybe I'm remembering it wrong... can you give me an example where HF Forest was auctioned higher than HF Wound? |
