His video work is sublime. I remember seeing it for the first time many many years ago and being blown away. In particular the scant regard to how well (or not) the previous shot had been buffed. Not to mention the humour and the political undertone. Simply fabulous.
I have said on here until I’m blue in the face that he is The Master of street art.
Sadly due to difficult times I now only own his books and zines. Congratulations on picking up his prints. They are beautiful; but as you say, not a patch on his street work.

Agree with the sentiment of street and print comparisons. For me it's about the scale of his work being difficult to replicate on paper. Two prints do however work for me: World Wide Trap and, my favourite, Monkey. His use of humour to p*ick the conscience, or at least open eyes, on such scale has always evoked the same feeling I get from Banksy's work.

I live in Rennes and was interested in the Rennes’ print.
You can easily get pictures of the art, I just a message by Instagram to the gallery and got this answer, so if you ask for pictures you will get them.
Seems high price but if you have just sold a « low » value print from Banksy you might be able to buy both and still save few £K 😆
I stopped the talk when seeing the price...
I live in Rennes and was interested in the Rennes’ print.

I remember his show at Laz think they were 1.5k - they're pretty small. the small, iconic, notebook drawings are among his most collectible works (the extremely rare blu original) - particularly the sketches for his politically engaged murals. his show at Laz was in 2007 (so even if your memory of the price is correct, it was 13 years ago). in late 2012, Blu sold two final drawings via artshit - the small work was 4,000EU and the large detailed work was 20,000EU (and both sold relatively quickly). since then, he has not sold any works - original drawings or new limited edition prints - he exited the market completely at the end of 2012. so, with extremely limited supply and nothing new expected ever, the market developed around the small drawings (i have not seen a good one for sale in a long time and only know of three of the large drawings). |

Hi, Can anyone can help me with valuations on some of Blu's pieces please? 1. CMYK 2. Demos 3. Funeral 4. Ill Nulla 5. Head Quarters 6. # of 3 etching Many thanks hard to say as there is so little supply (works rarely come up for sale), but my guesses are-- 1. CMYK -- $2000+ 2. Demos -- $3000+ 3. Funeral -- $1500+ 4. Il Nulla -- 5.
