New Banksy prints., by Neate Michael on Jun 10, 2016 13:19:32 GMT 1, I first joined this board back when Flags was released, and managed to snag myself a few Banksy prints.
But ever since the glitter debacle of POW Grotto 2011 (correct me if I am wrong) there have been no Banksy prints made available to the mass public.
My question is, do you think he ever will do any more prints? Or books? Or is it big events now such as more films, more Dismaland type shows?
I know this kinda pointless speculation annoys some members, so if that is the case, I apologise, but why don't you go and read another thread? I'm one of those that loves transfer speculation, and looking at opinon polls for the Brexit vote. So shoot me...
For what it's worth, I find it hard to imagine that Banksy won't eventually do another print run. Maybe a timed one. Or a ballot. But who knows? What do you think?

New Banksy prints., by wakeskater on Jun 10, 2016 13:53:59 GMT 1, I got into collecting prints around the time Banksy stopped releasing prints to the public. It's unfortunate as I missed out on his prints at source and are now having to save up money to buy a unsigned version that I like. I agree with Winter that he probably won't release another public print. I could be wrong, crazier things have happened.

New Banksy prints., by Howard Johnson on Jun 13, 2016 21:41:19 GMT 1, Banksy has done plenty of new prints, all of them have just been VIP releases. Some have popped up here and there, but unless your connected its hard to know the full scale of his body of work. Here is the problem, to release a new print he'd have to price it at 15k + as thats the current market value for his signed editions (give or take). This could potentially tarnish his image as an "artist of the people" and really wouldn't do much for those who didn't already have the means to buy his other editions. I'm willing to bet we will see 1-3 more poster type releases like the tesco bomb, but I wouldn't hold your breath for another public signed/numbered edition.

Always strikes me as the perfect answer to all of the flipping and issues he apparently doesn't like associated with a print release. Flood the market place. Job done.
But then been so idealistic would affect prices and that wouldn't do... Would it

New Banksy prints., by dwight on Jun 14, 2016 17:06:36 GMT 1, No more public print releases. He can sell the same prints at higher prices privately, pay fewer fees related to selling them, and have a stranglehold on what those buyers are able to do with the prints. He probably would even retain some resale rights where he would get a percentile of the profit from the resale of these "vip" prints. All the more reason to hang onto a print with no restrictions if you own one.

I bet a few people that bought these on eBay when first listed were a little bit disappointed with the size when they received them, No description of dimensions and they looked big from how thepics were shot

New Banksy prints., by docean on Jun 15, 2016 14:15:11 GMT 1, the last thing I want is a "thanks Steve (or whoever)" print just because someone on Banksy's payroll put together the image and he scribbled a quick signature... no thanks.
just got into collecting 2015 so completely missed out on his releases, now it's just not worth chasing these secondary prices, imo.

Could not agree more. Where's the emotional connection when you know it was meant for another? I have a few unique faireys that he's personalized for me, and although that probably kills any resale value it makes those pieces all the more special.

New Banksy prints., by Black Apple Art on Jun 15, 2016 18:15:29 GMT 1, The beauty of his "gift prints" are that they are just that and truly only have value and meaning to the original recipient. With no COA they are basically worthless to the open market, not to mention there is no way to authenticate and extremely easy to duplicate. I could only see someone considering one if they just didn't know better or the original owner was a friend and they didn't care about the lack in monetary value.
