I could even ask the fish man to sign them. Seriously though I very nearly bought a tea stain when they were released a few years back but the other half basically said "Why the F$%^ (my language not hers) would I want that on the wall, you leave enough on the table for free!!
We could also get some crayons and do a Cy Twombly or rip up some old mags and churn out some Psaiers.
Get what you mean though LOL @ "The Fishman".

Some of the stuff I like, some I don't. And that's the same for me with most artists.
I personally like the Stop and Go print, but it gets quite a bad reception. Again, horses for courses.

His signing of the tray of fresh egg's was a perfect example of this as is the biscuit and the tea print. Now that does not make him uncreative but.........
So what do people like about it.. The image if so do one not hard as it were. The signature...? The concept - what is the concept

Must say I dont quite get that comment as I far prefer the chip fork, at least he has fashioned a silver chip fork with his signature on it and its kitsch and kooky. The tea stain...well even I could whack a few hundred out in an hour, actually I may even be kind and put a couple of tea stains. But jokes aside thats the nature of art, depends on whos looking at it. The only rediculous thing for me would be the perishables eg biscuit and egg as its never going to last. Britain Creates 2012: Fashion & Art Collusion, is a project, led by the British Fashion Council/Bazaar Fashion Arts Foundation and in partnership with the Mayor of London, is a unique opportunity to celebrate and strengthen the longstanding relationships between fashion designers and visual artists. Iconic British designers have been paired together with top contemporary artists of which one pairing is Hussein Chalayan & Gavin Turk.
Following Turkโs meeting with The Vinyl Factory the idea of a collaboration on a special edition record was born.
Hussein Chalayan and Gavin Turkโs track perfectly embodies the idea of dialogue, which is central to this project. The very first time they met, at Turkโs studio, Chalayan interviewed Turk about his enduring preoccupation with the mythical status and identity of the Artist, with authorship and authenticity.
When Chalayan came to edit the transcript of their conversation it suggested the lyrics of a song, and from that the idea of a track called โFour Minute Mileโ emerged, the duration fixed by the speed record famously broken by Roger Bannister, the tempo such that you could run or train to it. The track begins with the pounding of running feet and the sound of breathing, which maintain an insistent tempo throughout. Turkโs voice intones his reflections on art and his role as artist, while Chalayan provides melody and a chanted echo or chorus behind.
The โFour Minute Mileโ vinyl will have a limited run of 100 copies and will be priced at ยฃ100 each, hand signed by both artists, available to buy exclusively from vfeditions.com and The Vinyl Factory gallery at 91 Walton Street, Chelsea.
The original Copper Master, along with the other specially created exclusive pieces, will be unveiled on 27th June 2012 at a VIP Gala fundraising event before going on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A). Monies raised from the gala will form part of a bursary to encourage and support emerging artists and designers and to help encourage future collaborations.
All pieces will be exhibited to the public throughout the London 2012 Festival โ at the V&A from 6th-29th July, followed by an installation in Selfridges โWonder Windowsโ programme during July and August.

Happened to pass along the tent when Gavin was speaking...he's definitely an artiste, talking about the brilliance of eggs and what have you but a nice guy. Had a good chat with him after and he said he was surprised that so many people were asking for inscriptions for their books rather than just signatures as that indicates they weren't going to sell it on ebay. He asked who i wanted the book made out to and i said just make it out to 'ebay winner'. We had a good chuckle over that
