I dont agree with pretty much all of that!!! but thats what a forums all about.
i dont see how you can come to the conclusion that it is being shill bid??? Read the above posts very carefully! its a friend of Beejoirs, as explained in the auction - and certified by chris via this forum.
There was a massive amount of interest in this print, including a 2minute sell-out so its hardly surprising to see it upto 1k with a personalised message from the artist on the back, didnt the LV signed go for a couple of grand also (although dont quote me on that!)
Seems a reasonable price especially if Beejoir realises his obvious potential in the next couple of years

I dont know, i just spent Β£1200 on a beej print that had no shill bidding on it
Also, having being falsly accused of shill bidding before, i know its not a pleasant experience, so please dont accuse anyone without evidence, its just not right
there are enough people willing to pay over a grand for this print for the auction price to be very real, so i wouldnt be too suspicious of it. i would pay Β£1300 for this print

very true, but we have never got into the realms of personal insults and have always been able to back are opinions with contructive argument, which is great. Same with lesbienwednesdays, we disagree all the time, but i respect his opinion just like i respect yours. What i dont respect is people who dont even bother entering a debate docking peoples points. It takes conviction to state your opinions, it takes nothing to click on a - symbol. just winds me up thats all

the whole respect system is whack, have a system whereby if you sell or buy from a member and it goes well you can big them up then great. but to knock someone for having an opinion is both futile and infuriating. i would be more for it if our +/- were shown and we had the chance to say 'fair comment...........+1' or equally 'i don't agree with carpetbagging -1'. etc.
we've been down this road before but unless you were a prefect i don't think there will be too many of us holding out to retain this heirachal, elitest, judgemental system.

I've come into the argument late and dont know why people are docking you. But i've read two posts that were asking people to front you at the next show. It came across as fairly aggressive. If people knocking your respect points pisses you off that much, such talk is only going to exacerbate the situation.

good point mark, context counts for a lot. quite a few people read only the last 100 posts so verbalkint that could account for a high number of negs as people don't neccesarily see the whole flow of the argument/discussion .
