Please could someone pick me up a protection one (it's the hand image). Stuck at work till late so no chance making it. Would be hugely grateful and it will be on the wall v soon. P&P of course would be covered.

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by Feral Things on Jun 4, 2013 20:21:22 GMT 1, I've said it before, but the show is so good that I'm just going to repeat myself, it really is one of the strongest bodies of work I've seen in a long time. There aren't many exhibitions which feel both deeply personal and deeply political but 3D has definitely pulled it off. Those posters look really peachy; gutted I won't be able to pick one up as I don't live in London but look luck to other forum members trying to snag one.

It really was a stunning collection of work. Amazing really how this only has two pages and some other shows blow up on here with epic 20 odd pages of nothingness.

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by Feral Things on Aug 28, 2013 19:57:36 GMT 1, Before the exhibition opened there was talk of 3D publishing a book entitled 'The Art of Massive Attack' but I suspect it won't come to anything unfortunately.
I have to admit I don't really know why there wasn't more interest in this show. 3D is obviously a very well established artist and I thought this was an incredible show even by his own high standards. Definitely show of the year so far for me. I don't know if this is how it was intended but it felt like a bit of a retrospective of his works. With all the maneuverings which are going on with respect to Syria right now, the pieces produced around the time of the Iraq war make me feel uncomfortably like history is about to repeat itself.
Unfortunately there was no chance of me picking up a piece from the exhibition at the time, but a kind forum member did pick up some of the screen printed pasters:

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by fielder on Sept 17, 2013 16:58:18 GMT 1, Product Details:
* 400-page 12" x 12" hardback book with black glitter and pink screen printed cover artwork unique to this edition * Exclusive art print, signed by 3D, screen printed by Lazarides * 12-inch vinyl featuring previously unreleased track on A-side, with an etching on side B * Housed in a bespoke heavyweight cardboard box with cover artwork by 3D * Limited to 350 copies worldwide, each individually hand-signed and numbered
"When I was about ten years old, a kid called 3D was painting the streets hard. 3D quit painting and formed the band Massive Attack, which may have been a good thing for him but was a big loss for the city." Banksy (Swindle magazine, 2008)
The Vinyl Factory presents 3D and the art of Massive Attack by Robert del Naja aka 3D - the first book on the visual history of a band who have sold over 11 milliion records worldwide, compiled and designed by 3D using images from a personal archive and original artifacts scanned by the artist for the record.
Robertβs artwork has come to define the iconic style of his band and the book explores their visual history, presenting both familiar and previously unseen work, from his influential graffiti and stencil art in the Wild Bunch-era of the β80s to Massive Attack cover designs and paste-ups and paintings. Also included is work made in collaboration with Nick Knight, Tom Hingston, Judy Blame and Michael Nash Associates, as well as unseen photographs documenting Del Najaβs ongoing collaboration with United Visual Artists. And his recent work with filmmaker Adam Curtis.
The 400-page book also features an in-depth interview with the artist, where he describes the development of the bandβs artwork and record sleeve designs, as well as offering insight into his processes, and inspirations.
Del Najaβs background as a graffiti artist has shaped his evolving aesthetic, as well as a strong ethos of βdo it yourselfβ creativity. His instincts as an artist were forged in an atmosphere of spontaneity and innovation - from making flyers to throwing warehouse parties - and this way of working informed the first record sleeves he created as 3D.
Inspired by magazine culture and comics, 3D drew on wide-ranging influences, from New Yorkβs hip-hop scene and Japanese graphics, Jean-Michel Basquiatβs cultural juxtapositions to Warholβs pop imagery, politics and punk.
"βI was always told that any artist that wanted to be taken seriously should never paint record sleevesβ Robert del Naja
The Vinyl Factory will publish 3D and the art of Massive Attack on 28 October 2013; the hardback book will be priced at Β£50.
The limited edition will be for sale exclusively from The Vinyl Factory online web shop; available to pre-order from today, 16 September 2013

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by astrobboy on Sept 25, 2013 22:34:34 GMT 1, I asked what the print would look like and was sent a pic. Its a blue variation (as opposed to orange) of the sleeve that 3D did for the original Mo'Wax Headz compilation.
ie the middle section with the body and turntable needle.
I was told "The image/artwork attached will be screen printed on 12x12". We are trialing two possible options using paint, glitter and ink. It will look amazing and be personally finished by 3D."
It sounds cool, and great for us Mo'Wax fans, but it's only 12" x 12", the size of a record which is pretty small for a print to put on the wall. Also the art police (ie my girlfriend) is not a fan of it which makes the Β£350 price tag that much easier to reject now.

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by eskay on Oct 23, 2013 13:40:39 GMT 1, I have managed to bag a print that didn't make it to Laz's fire sale. It's basically the one linked below but it's unsigned without the additional shadowing & doodles on the left. The diamond dust is also slightly different.
What are people's thoughts on keeping just the right side by cutting it to size as per the markers? There's another print from the Laz sale that is actually just the image alone and it looks really nice.

Robert Del Naja π¬π§ 3D β’ Street Artist β’ Massive Attack , by Ruggs on Oct 23, 2013 13:49:32 GMT 1, That's a bit like saying "I've just bought a Banksy di-faced Tenners print, do you think I should cut all the individual tenners out". Behave! WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT CUT IT UP. Frame it as a whole artwork chap. Looks great by the way.
