UAA has become eBay without the seller fees. impossible to tell what a seller thinks is reasonable. they obviously have some number in mind but rarely disclose as not to dissuade higher offers. makes it very hard to navigate a purchase, imo. it's a format that favors sellers. sellers just gather bids via PM and decide whether max bid is high enough. I've seen sellers change their initial prices after they posted because they received higher offers and wanted to max profit. Wild Wild West unfortunately. good luck.

Let's face it, you purchased this print with the sole intention of making a profit so stop taking the rest of us for mugs and name your price. I've lost count of the amount of whatson pieces I've attempted to purchased via the graffiti prints site only to lose out to others who put it up for sale two weeks later for double, triple the price. I just want a piece of art to put on my wall, is that not what this forum should be about? Yes, sell your art if you wish, you have the right to do what you want with it. Just have a bit of respect when doing so.
I get what you mean but it's just standard in the art and antiquities world. Take eBay for example, how many purchases on there are actually a fixed price? Or any antique market, where the price is an upper marker. Everyone on here could just say for any old print ยฃ10k or best offer, when they know the value is say ยฃ100. Also consider that the urban art world is very unstable; today's Whatson could be tomorrow's chip wrapping paper.

This exact print had been on eBay for months at 1K, and no one has purchased it. Does that make the value $1K? Ofcourse not. And if every one on here sells in private , how can we truly know what the pieces sell for? The economics of this world are fascinating to me, and I'll continue to wade through the waters and try not get burned by overpaying on something I love "too much".
Although I haven't earned the right to say I'm frustrated with the process of UAA forum sales, I certainly understand where the negative outburst come from- because it does suck.
..... But hell, when I get around to selling something , I'll probably do the same thing
