A friend took me to Anfield and I chose to support Liverpool FC. They were relegated nine months later but I stayed loyal. I'm looking forward to Chelsea v Liverpool on 18th September.
I think Liverpool were last relegated in 1953, the year of the coronation. Glad you've got broadband in the old people's home!

My son follows STFC despite not being born there and never having lived there. Poor fucker.

Tough learning curve for my son who attends every single game with me but great fun as very easy to get tickets to travel to the big clubs accessing their away sections for affordable prices... a few more wins would be nice though ;-)
This year we already went to Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Tottenham, Liverpool, Newcastle (flashed all Invader SI there) and Old Trafford soon (Manchester Invader hunt all planned !)

Charlie Nicholas hit a belter from 20 yards and I was hooked. Been incredibly lucky to see some of the best players we've ever had pull on the kit. Don't get to games now, but am still a member and still on the season ticket list (somewhere in the 90,000s!)

For me it was Yerevan in Armenia, FC Pyunik Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Europa League.
We had got past Crusaders the week before. Flew via Moscow.
Followed England for about 12 years, furthest was Trinidad and Tobago.

Supporting a local football team turned out to be a great way to do just that!
By the way, I recently came across a site that offers football predictions, which has made following matches even more exciting. It's like having a little extra insight into the game. If you're interested, you might find it helpful too. It's also how I got more into following teams like Al Wehda Mecca.
