There is no chance of this being real. He should get a refund immediately.

I know of an auction house that constantly pumps out banksy fakes, literally every three weeks. I alerted Pest Control who contacted the gallery and made them take the listings down. Now they get around it by saying each print is 'after banksy'.
Every week though I see so many bids on these terrible prints. You'd think they'd realise that a Banksy at several hundred dollars is not real, but sadly a lot of people do not have the knowledge we do.
But yeah, burn OP at the stake!

I'm with you, surprised everyone's taking it for face value and letting it slide. "Oh he didn't know better, it's not his print." I think it is his personally, easy way to deflect the wrong doing if he gets caught. Like you said even if it was for a friend it's his reputation on the line he should be responsible to make sure it's legit.
