Not trying to hype anything, but I am surprised, considering the detail in the packaging alone, that defects would have made it through QC.

Just opened my gold and it has a massive thumbprint in the paint and the box material is not glued together so the box is falling apart.

Will drop a not to bait as well. At less money i would not worry about it, but it was enough that it is worth a little leg work.

Yep, that's exactly where mine is on both, slightly less noticeable on my red vs the gold. Seems like it would be on most if it's showing up on the exact same place.

the figures are good packed in foam. this are not shipping damages.
looks like the plastic (liquid) wasnt "hard / cool" and touched something.
i was so happy yesterday. checked now my figures by daylight. bingo - both are damaged !
some scretches and the white areas are partly not white...something grey.
i will not accept $50 from bait...

We all need to complain to Bait and Murakami (I tried via IG...maybe someone will let him know) as this is unacceptable and not in line with Murakami's standards.

So far it sounds like quality control was not a top concern for complexcon as I received a damaged murakami poster and an even more damaged replacementโ. Also, they falsely advertised things as limited, whereas they shouldve specified that it was limited stock, not limited editions.

Those fingerprints are set into the wet paint during the drying process and would be hard a** to remove with magic erasers, if you share those affected members' pains. Gosh, what are the factory workers doing, handling the balls like that, leaving CSI traces??
Edit: the marks also seem to be made when they were place on surfaces after applying paint to dry.

I don't think anyone expects Bait to do quality control themselves ? However, their email about having no control over quality issues is unacceptable when selling 650USD pieces.
However because they are the middle man, they are stuck with sorting this out. They accepted the payment, and when the article is delivered with manufacturing defects they are de facto going to take the heat. I do not have a contrat with a factory in China, I have one with Bait so this is their problem.
They can be smart and helpful about it, which I expect they will be as they are a reliable outfit. The manufacturing costs of these has got to be close to 0, and the subcontractor will take the financial penalty, so they are easy to replace.
They can also be dicks about it, in which case paypal and CC companies will take over
